If you are smart, you will find a idea that sounds good to you and sit on it for a few years without action.

This is actually what I did, and my personal rule of thumb. If I still want the same tattoo after about 2 years, it's time to get it. In that time, a lot of ideas have come and gone, though.

My father had a tattoo that he gave himself using a needle, thread, indigo ink, and a lot of patience.

Later he didn't want it anymore, so he took a hunting knife and cut it out of his skin.

Get whatever tattoos you want, and if you don't like them anymore get rid of them, NO EXCUSES.

I guess your father shouldn't have gone for the Korn tramp stamp?

Thread end.
This is the most horrible tattoo thing I have seen in my life. It beats people whacking off their genitals for lulz.

You should get the Apple Mac logo.

horrible idea.

firstly because i hate macs. and more so because
im against getting brands tattooed.

i think every tattoo should be original artwork.

in all honesty,
most of the time i select the artist first. some one
who's talented (in both art + tattooing), you like
their art style, and they work at a clean shop.

then i decide what i want to get from that person.
something they will enjoy doing. because the last
thing yew want is a tattoo artist who isnt interested
in what he's doing. those never turn out well.

just my advice from working at a shop for 2years
and having 19 tattoos.

Wow

although the one with the Saint John's Arms on their wrist is not bad.

I've had two ideas for tattoos for a few years. They have stuck with me, I still want them. One of them involves long straight lines though.

The other is the logo for a video game franchise which is not related to chiptunes and is long dead, but is very relevant to the early development of my creativity in relation to technology. It's also a simple looking logo which is somewhat obscure.
