The RG think-tank is kicking around a very simple project and wondering if it's bad form to exclude MIDI thru.

Your thoughts?

I use it a ton - it affects my purchase decisions, but if there's a good reason not to include it I wouldn't call it bad form.

This is so dependent on the project, but for what's it's worth, I used MIDI thru extensively forever. But as Peter says, if it's not real through, it's bullshit.

im down with midi thru, not always fun to bring a seperate midi thru to run two devices just because neither's got a thru..if you guys want someone semi local to help stress test whatever youve got in mind, let me know

If it's a midi source, i'd say no through. But from anything else, yes, it needs it.
