A little something which I started yesterday. Although I won't be adding a ton of features (it was more a learning exercise than anything), I do have a few things I want to change. Anyway, whatevs. I just thought I would post a video of it, that's all.
Game Gear tunes are coming true. This is awesome.
I didn't even know the SMS/ GG could support samples until some of your recent youtube uploads. Really cool stuff. Did you use SMS sample-playback on Dynasty? Did any games use it?
Dynasty was FM synthesis only, in terms of the SEGA master system parts.
There are a couple of games that use sample playback. Alex Kidd and the Lost Stars, and Shooting Gallery are two that come to mind off of the top of my head.
is there a rom for this anywhere? googled about but couldn't find anything. The other programs for sms were there though.
HOLY SHIET Now I will have a decent reason to use my master everdrive !!!
Little-scale released the rom today on his blog (thanks!);
I plopped this on my everdrive and messed around for a couple minutes today.
I didn't find it very useful in its current state, really easy to completely glitch it out too. It's nice to have the source code, though.
And to respond to Bucky's post from 4 years ago, Great Golf is the best/worst example of sample playback on the SMS.
Very nice! So how do we get this running on gamegear?

Hi Jazz! Without a GG Flash cart, you'll need a Master Gear (the SMS cart to GG converter thing-ie http://segaretro.org/Master_Gear_Converter ) and re chip a SMS cart. Littlescale has a blog post about doin it for the SMSMidi interface. Finding the right cart is the tricky part, need to find one of the non-banking ones. . Lots of useful info on SMS carts at the SMS Power site

Yeah, but I meant in the source code. I would like to play with it, but when I save it and open in notepad++, it is entirely on one line.

OOOOH, I just DLed it and haven't opened the zips . will take a look now
Yea, it was real late last nite and I hadn't looked at the DLs. So yes the Txt file has a line feed problem, thinking its a Mac vs Win editor issue. Looking around in Notepad++ for the setting.
