I see all these people saying tattoo's have to mean something, and they can't look retarded. However, I think a subtle video game tattoo, especially some nice pixel art, can mean a lot to a person. Video games aren't a childish thing, and if you feel really touched by them, you won't regret the tattoo when you're 60 or 80. Just because there are a lot of crappy video game tattoo's out there doesn't mean they're all bad. What makes a good guns n' roses tattoo better than a good minecraft dirt cube tattoo?

do it as long as its significant to you, and if you're comfortable with having it forever (or have a shit ton of money.)

i personally go for simplicity. simple shapes, which will eventually form a larger whole. i waited for about 3 years to start any tattoo ideas, even though they didnt necessarily change over time. just wanted to make sure i could stand something permanent.

didnt quite expect the level of pain that came with it! would not recommend the tops of your feet for your first tattoo. tongue

tl;dr do what you want

imo i think that when youre 60 or 80 an ugly tattoo is your smallest problem.
