I just noticed that the snare is very different in my lsdj version. The snare in both songs are not the original snare and they might be different because we don't have the same lsdj version. I uploaded here if you want to take a listen (just for the snare).

It could be because I was playing back through an SP which is renowned for it's less than perfect production of kits. (Right?)
I don't know about the SP...
