i did some searching, but all I found was a dead-end thread on 8bc.

in short, while trying to install lsdj from my mac (10.5.8), trying to run the terminal command "sudo port install pkgconfig" and getting the message in reply: "sudo: port: command not found"

how do i proceed from here?

cheers,

hey, port is part of a suite of program called macports (http://www.macports.org/), you need to install macports before you will be able to use the port command

That's what I was thinking would be the fallback option.  I got macports installed, and things went well up to the point of running the ems flasher.  I'm running os x 10.5.8, and it appears that the latest version is for 10.6.  I tried the oldest version on their site (0.2) and when tried to run it got this message:

dyld: unknown required load command 0x80000022
Trace/BPT trap

Some hunting around seemed to point to the fact that it's a 10.6 version doesn't work for 10.5.  Does this sound correct?  Any last ditch ideas?  Otherwise, off to windows I go.

By 'Kitsch Bent Cart', you don't happen to mean the EMS64, do you?
Because, if you do, there's always EMS-Flasher.

Edit: Herp derp. I'm too tired to be giving advice, ignore me.
