Hi, I'm from the UK and was wondering what kind of power supply would be compatible with a famicom?

Thanks

220V -> 12V (can't remember if it's AC or DC... NES was AC, but DC worked fine.. honestly i think both will work).

On the NES it has a full wave bridge rectifier to convert 12Vac, but 12Vdc would work fine w/ a small .7V drop and it was still enough for the 7805 to work. If i remember correctly the famicom was very similar with regards to the power supply.

Good luck!

NO! Don't put the AC from the standard NES power pak into the Famicom, you will fry the 7805 at least, since there is no onboard rectifier on the Famicom but there is one on the NES.
