Yo dudes,

Would there be a reason that VRC6 songs play on my NES and not MMC5?

Ive done a few tests and it seems that the MMC5 songs extra channels wont play, but for some reason VRC6 works just fine.

Any ideas? Could it be a mapper issue?

EDIT:

Just read on retrozone "MMC5 support not implemented yet. The PowerPak DOES have enough hardware to do it"

yeeea. i wish it had mmc5 support. but there is hope in the future it will. in the mean time, i've heard loopy's mapper works with mmc5 - http://goo.gl/grOJB -
haven't tried it myself though. you might wanna read some of this too, http://famitracker.shoodot.net/forum/posts.php?id=3073 , thats how i heard about the loopy mappers.
