Just set up a paypal account and to be honest, I was a little upset because of how long it took to transfer money from my bank to the paypal account. I sent money to someone for a couple gameboy mods (now that I think of it, I should get back with him), but here is what I did.
Opened up a new checking account that is not linked with my main.
Tied that account with Paypal.
Only keep a max of $100 in that account.
If it is untrustworthy, then I'm only out $100. Not loosing everything. /shrug

thanks, i'll keep that in mind : )

If you build a man a fire, he'll be warm for a night. If you light a man on fire, he'll be warm for the rest of his life.

whoa, whoa, whoa, you mean to say that there is an extra "audio in" pin?
hmmm, i must look into this.

whoa, whoa, whoa, you mean to say you needed help just figuring out the difference between LSDJ and Chip Maestro, and you think you're going to be doing something with that audio-in pin?

eeeeyup : 3 i didn't know EXACTLY what in heck the LSDJ cartridge could do, and whether the "gameboy color keyboard mod" video on youtube was for reals. So ya, i'll think about that pin 31, and what i could do woth it in the future. ; )

would it even be possible to make a big fat cart for LSDJ with a midi input?

LSDJ uses the ext. port for communication with a keyboard or arduinoboy. It might be possible to internally rewire some rarely used pins like the audio-in pin to the ext. pins and then it would be possible to have a cardridge with an internal arduinoboy and MIDI in/out ports. However, it would only work in a Game Boy that had been internally modified to support it.

a buyer can say he/she did not receive this/that and BAM! Paypal holds your money until you can prove this/that. It is what has driven postage rates up (the necessity for tracking/registered/insured). I think most sellers have had this happen at least once...

huh, that's pretty useful, actually. Elon musk knew what he was doing  when he helped found it. . .

you can also use a visa gift card or whatever with paypal if your are super paranoid. Sellers need to document everything they ship, get insurance, and NEVER LEAVE MONEY IN YOUR PAYPAL ACCOUNT..

lol true dat.

so paypal is "ok"?

"teach a man to fish" lol, is that a hint telling me to 'google' it?

wait, so LSDJ doesn't let you use a gameboy DMG,GBA, or GBC like a MIDI synth? is there anything that will?

i run into Paypal everytime i look at stuff like the chip maestro, and LSDJ, my mom has warned me that paypal is not trustworthy, but is it really? i'm pretty skeptical, and i'm hoping you guys can clear up my suspicions about it, and does paypal only take credit, or does it take debit?

so, i have both a gameboy and a NES, and was wondering if there is any differences in what functions they perform, i know they both allow you to plug a keyboard (PS/2 for LSDJ and MIDI for Chip Maestro) and use the gameboy/NES as a MIDI synthesizer, but is there any stark differences that i should know about, before i choose which path i want to go down? the gameboy one would be nice, because it's more portable than the NES, but the NES is actually mine. (the gameboy is my friend's grandma's, but i'll buy my own when i decide which way i want to go)

btw this tune, "get a brian morans!" is fantastic!I really want to play it on my new bass, and/or my guitar!! I just have to know, has anyone tabbed, or will anyone tab this song? (just the bassline, but if the lead can be done, go for it! ) i'd also like if "surfing on a sine wave" could be done as well : ) IF it can be done, that is.
