So I could just wire +5v directly to the positive battery terminal?

I'm not using batteries at all actually. Just trying to power the game boy with a 12v adaptor. I just have nooo idea where the 5v starts on the board.

are you planning to use an ac/dc converter of some sort?
It's using a 7805 from an NES which brings the 12v to 5v. I know that the GBC gives 5v though, but I just don't know where to power it...
It will all be in a custom case.

Wow I haven't posted in a while!
So I haven't been into chiptune for a loooong time, but recently discovered that I can't live without it. I immediately began working a Game Boy into my guitar setup and want to add one to my pedal board using a 12v adaptor. Bringing the 12v down to 5v isn't an issue, but I have no idea where to solder the 5v connection in order to power the Game Boy. If someone can show me a picture or something that would be amazing!

Topic: Should I give up? (20 replies, posted in Nintendo Handhelds)
I have no way of recording anything anymore and even when I could nothing ever came of it. I pretty much just have a custom Game Boy, LSDJ cart, and a LSDJ keyboard collecting dust. Should I just sell these to invest in a better recording option? I'm pretty heartbroken not being able to release anything.

Is it just a matter of cleaning it or will I have to replace it? Can I add a pot to the headphone jack's ground to limit volume? Thanks!

I put a lot of work into this and I'm so happy to finally incorporate guitar into the mix. Tell me what you think and feel free to download it. (And if you pay actual money for it you will be my favorite.)

Re: RGB Backlight Question (5 replies, posted in Nintendo Handhelds)
I got it to work but I'm kinda bummed out because one of my LEDs is defective on my RGBss. (I think) I might just have to reflow some of the solder on it.

Woah! So this means it isn't even compatible with rgbss!
Thanks for the input!

What do these letters stand for? I think it's safe to say RGB are Red, Green, and Blue but I have no idea what A stands for. I'm guessing it's positive. Also I'm trying to connect this to a RGBss which is labeled with Red, Green, Blue, and White. So would A go to white? I'm hoping you see this Kitsch!
