The music player used butchered my chippie because it didn't support one of the basic features of Protracker (pattern break with a jump to specific row). There's a fixed version of Chiperia #2 at pouet.net you can run in emulator, but the YouTube video is made from the earlier version.

Here's my contribution how it should sound https://soundcloud.com/janne-suni/acqui … iant-cover

The first issue of a new chipdisk serie on the Amiga was released today by Chiperia Project.

Each issue will feature 10 songs from various chiptune artists on the Amiga. Some pleasant comebacks will follow...

Check out Chiperia #1 on the real thing or with an emulator: http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=65223

...or on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8lpOtiLl-uM

If you want a desperate "chipmusic connection", then I'd go for the intro of You Haven't Done Nothin' (1974) smile

Chick Corea wins though with his El Bozo pt. 2 (1976)

The Grammy awards or something?

Songs in the Key of Life is a great album. Everything from "Music of My Mind" to "Hotter than July" is worth checking out. Stevie's Talking Book (1972) was my first musical revelation.

Vince Kaichan - Yolanda EP (no faking. I relate to this music 99%)
Fearofdark  - Motorway (excellent arrangements etc)
Goto80 - Files in Space (Anders can do no wrong)

I'd be glad to hear some album/EP suggestions based on these. Drop me a personal message.

EDIT: added 3rd video.

Scarzix just put online the first part of his video tutorial serie for CheeseCutter SID music editor (Windows/Linux).

CheeseCutter is a great editor on par with Goat Tracker and Sid Duzz It. It's a project of Abaddon, who is also a badass chipmusician, with whom I've co-operated numerous times.

Grab the editor here: http://theyamo.kapsi.fi/ccutter/

There's also a Facebook group for CheeseCutter if you need help with the editor or just wanna share your tunes, etc

(Also check out the tunes Scarzix has been making with CheeseCutter: https://soundcloud.com/scarzix)

Thank you all for the warm welcome.

Getting back in bleep business smile

This is my first post on this site, so I'm sorry if this whole thing is in the wrong section, but I'm really bad at reading forum rules.

Anyway, I was involved in a chiptune-only music group called Chippendales ("those hunky male chippers!") on Amiga. We released 33 tunes (actually 37, as one release was an EP). Our memberlist consisted of Zandax, Chavez, Beathawk, Vent, Abaddon, Goto80, Curt Cool and yours truly. We also had guest releases every now and then.

Back then chipmusic was very unfashionable and - to be honest - nobody in the demoscene gave a shit about what we were doing. We were almost 10 years too late for Amiga scene (demo/intro packs, crack intros etc), and 10 years too early for the current chipmusic craze. Other thing that stopped our ride was the ongoing email threaths coming from the lawyer of the Chippendales [tm] male strip group smile

Here are 2 soundcloud sets of all the tunes we released:
https://soundcloud.com/chippendales-1/cnd1
https://soundcloud.com/chippendales-1/cnd2

Original MOD files are to be found at:  www.fairlight.fi/chippendales/

Some of the songs are merely loopable 4 pattern ditties, as were most of the chiptunes in the early 90s. Another sidenote: my tunes in the bunch are mostly terrible, but they are some of the earliest chiptunes I've made.

I hope you enjoy these tunes, as there are some really nice ones included.
