As a maker of Reggae, Chords are vital for me! this could be what my life has been missing.

Was there any progress on getting a save feature? Almost useless to me without one!

Its an awesome idea! are you looking for feedback on anythign other than the idea?

guitar fits with the track really well, not my favorite style of chip tune, a bit too much going on for me, I like the bits where it breaks down and has some more space mostly. I would really like to hear some more melodic solo type guitar instead of the constant chords too.

yeah man its cool. now go into the woods or a cave with your kit and some fruit and find your own unique style and work on it!
your direction is fine you can make chip tune!

could you share the bass patch?

i think you're right a bit too much EQ, should never raise things too high. EQing is more about taking away things you dont need and subtly bringing up the bits you do. I think your high range is a tiny bit too much here, but only a tiny bit. The mix is really good, just wants a small tweek so be careful not to overdo the correction of high EQ

separate crit - more barebones intro needed

separate request - I am an MC lets colab, this is fucking hype - www.youtube.com/trinitylofi im the white one out of the two MCs in these vids

i think all the sounds and the programming is great, dunno the original I'll check it out. I think the mix of the main melodies and bass is nice.
All i say is try and some EQ to the snare to make it punch it more, maybe layer a second snare/clap in there. and a bit of volume and high EQ to the high hats. snare and high hats are a little lost in the mix.

you are covering a live bass player, one of the best. Converting him into a plain synth like that is a mistake. BUT!!!! if you can add some variation to it so it sounds more like a human playing it or just more BASSY it will be great. My advice is to use a wav synth that has the Start with a volume around 30-40 and a lowpass quite low, with a q of 1/2. have the end point a little bit higher in volume but not much, with a much higher or slightly lower filter cutoff. then use F commands to shape the bass subtly and also SMALL D commands to make it not so rigid on the beat, it needs a little swing but a groove will porbbaly mess it up so slight delays on some notes gives it a more natural groove.

Happy - add drum variations, some rolls and drops at the start or end of a 4/8 bar section and again you need to spice up the instruments

its great! kinda like if zelda crosed with 80s style sega music, cant really think of any constructive crit apart from finish all the tracks individually and you have an album!

Its really nice man, you need to learn to DUB! tape echos with pan between the ears, reverb and filters. echoes and spring/plate reverb make dreams come true!
there is some good examples of dubbing in this recent EP by Helgeland 8 Bit Squad (i did the art work tongue)

Sounds like a sega game, well done.
I think its a great track dunno why you're worried!
only bit that I would change is the bit from 1:22 onwards gets a bit repetitive. This wouldnt be a problem if it was game music but I think its pleasure music so maybe add a lead over the top or a change in the arp!
really like the last note too

Personally I'm making reggae hip hop, so there is often off beat chords in both pulse channels, I therefore have space for a kick drum in one PU and some melody in the other, and always main bass in wav channel. I have been using a bit of noise channel drums, but I'm starting to take some of them out, i am hoping to seek drums elsewhere, I find for the big soundsystem music im making the noise is a bit invasive and I need cleaner sounds.

Wav channel kicks and PU kicks are so much nicer than a noise kick so for you, I think i would drop the idea of having ALL the drums in noise channel. you can hide kick drums amongst the melodies in the other channels if needs be. Having all the drums in noise though could provide a nice trademark sound if thats what your going for, just be careful not to over do them, constant noise can really bring a track down and distract from the melody, id advise to keep some space and sometimes have none
