^^that's a sample pack of sounds made with LSDJ. I just chucked those in the volca sample. So much fun. I've personally never used the beats but this was one of the first ideas I had with the sample.

This is what I followed:

I've used both the Bass and the Sample.

Ah thanks! So it's using lsdj to sequence melodies onto the volcas. That's pretty cool, can I ask what you used it with the sample for? I own one as well and I filled it with a sample pack called 'gameboy sounds' from somewhere to use live, but having it as slave to lsdj never crossed my mind. How would you sequence stuff on there? It doesn't strike me as being as simple as corresponding note values like with a bass or keys, because you could have any samples on there from anywhere.

Working on a long overdue demo - it's going to be a weird mix of ambience, retro synthpop, electronica and chiptune. I don't even know how its going to turn out.
Otherwise, working on a website/blog and just trying to make more music and learn ableton as best I can so I can get some gigs!

I was intrigued by the PO20 Arcade but I dunno. Still on the fence about getting even one of the pocket operators. Dunno how I'd fit it into my chain of gear. Eh. I'm looking forward to more info on the OP Z tho.

I've got the PO14, but I've not used the sequencer on it; just playing about with the sounds 'live' when recording. I'm pretty shit with the learning curve of new sequencers, so have found more use composing on LSDJ and then using MIDIOUT to something like a Korg Volca. Since the POs don't have MIDI input I've kind of shied away from using them a lot. They're cool, but more a fun sound creation gadget than useful for compositions (for me anyway).

Come chill at http://squaresoundsfestival.com/ in a month and make some connections with dudes who can help you out.

Oh man, Square Sounds!! I missed last year's! Thank you so much for the reminder!

I know I haven't been too active on the forum but I'm always keen to meet some new people if anyone's interested?
