The Toshiba Satellite 430CDS should be on that list, too. It's rocking an ESS688 & YMF262. The 430CDT should have the same chipset for sound.

I have a Satellite Pro 430CDT lying around, so this is cool news! I've never looked into Adlib tracking.

Hey folks,

Feel kind of weird having this as my first real post, but I figure it's cool if it's relevant at least.

I'm currently on the tail end of an audio degree here in West Aus, and I've put together some surveys for my research project on vintage game hardware in audio production. The content is probably a bit basic for this crowd admittedly, but please bear with me. They're pretty short - shouldn't take more than five minutes each! :B

First survey, with some basic background and chip experiences questions: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/XT2YSXW

Second survey, aimed more at people with experience in audio/music production (which shouldn't be a problem, really...): https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/XJRYV8H

I'd really appreciate any of you filling out even one of them. Every response helps, especially from a crowd with experience!

Thanks for looking!

Howdy, folks!

Been lurking for a while, and figured it's time to take the plunge. I mainly go by HeavyViper (or some mutation of it) all over the 'net. I have an long-running obsession with video games, which also ignited a passion for music early on, albeit one I've only realized I had recently.

I'm currently finishing an audio production degree (might be posting some surveys soon :S), which has been pretty invigorating on a creative level. I've been experimenting with chip music for the past few years, and recently I've been adding a few DAWs to my arsenal, including Reason and Pro Tools (ugh). Still learning a lot at this point, but I'm hoping to get some kind of sound design or composition work going in the future.

Pleased to meet y'all!
