It seems like you wanted cc on mixing and mastering, but I'll throw in my two cents anyway. While I was trying to thing of things to criticize, I noticed that right after a listened to one of your songs, I completely forgot what it went like. Maybe I wasn't paying close enough attention, but I couldn't remember a thing. That is why suggestion to you is make better melodies. No, not better, more memorable, because, if I don't even remember what your songs sounds like, I'm less likely to even listen to another. I know that people can't just make "better" melodies from someone just telling them to, but really put some more thought into your patterns. I sounded very disjointed to me, and your video game samples seemed arbitrary. I hope I'm not coming off as too harsh. but just hear me out. I love your style, and how everything seems very spacious, and i also love when you don't use the vgm samples arbitrarily. I really think you have potential, and would love you to take my words and the others who commented to heart. Please get some more stuff out there bigger, better, and faster? That last one didn't make sense, but do the first two! Thank you for listening!

Re: Chiptune will disappear someday? (84 replies, posted in General Discussion)
I don't believe that chiptune music will die out for 2 reasons:
1. As long as there is still an audience for it, it will live on.
2. It is vastly different from most genres. The most it has in common with is probably electronic music, being that is a sub genre of it, but it is the black sheep of the whole operation there.
I read that kids these don't know about c64 and things like that. I disagree. The more the youtube scene of let's players has broken out, the more kids are aware of video games. I believe that they will find interest in it, just by looking around, as was my way of finding out about. I am 14 at this time, and have been aware of chiptune for several years. It first started with a general interest in video game history. I wanted to get all the old video game systems and such, but then i gradually moved over to music, because of my growing interest in it. With that, came the growing interest in video game music, which ultimately, led to chiptune music. I've grown out of the NES and into C64, because i enjoy it better, and also started making my own music. I've made my friends listen to all my songs, and they weren't totally disgusted by it, so that proves that there is still hope. This proves my first point, plus, the people who grew up on it won't be dying off for another 20 years. Who would even consider chip music dying? I know it's underground, but so are a lot of things. I just hope Chip gets it time in the mainstream eventually. Long Live Chiptune!

Even though i can write chiptune music by myself, i just love working with other people. I would really love to have someone to work with on chiptunes. I doesn't really matter what tracker you use (if you use a tracker), i just want to discuss and compose with someone. I would like to be casual, as if we were friends, not all business. I would love to see someone respond to this!

update on the song (http://chipmusic.org/justbeenwarpzoned/
ife-nes-v2)
although it doesn't seem like i added that much, i did. mostly eq and harshing the bass up (thanks for that reply 199X).
The one big thing, is the transition. I was trying to make an addition to the song, but i ended up backing myself into a corner with that transition, almost destroying any chance of me getting anything else into the song. At least, that's what i think, but thats why i'm posting this. How am i going to get out of this musical hole? Please help.

I started this song, and i really think it's a winner, but i'm not sure which direction to take it. Go Really dark, or make it bold, and triumphant. Or, maybe it should go somewhere else entirely. What do you guys think? Please help.

i'm not sure what i can add to my song, "Chelsea court" (http://chipmusic.org/justbeenwarpzoned/ lsea-court). Please help me. I've already posted the song on here, but i think i still need to put a lot of work into it. Mainly, i feel it's repetitive, and it will get really old, really fast. I'm quite new to making chiptune music, so it would be nice for someone to help me.
