Sorry I'm not sure what you mean.

I don't know of (really) any programs to test and make sure the midi feature itself is working...

Going to be completely honest with you... this is my first step into using digital instruments and believed a midi controller would be easier for me to use than an actual computer keyboard...

I recently received an Akai MPKmini usb keyboard for Christmas and I'm having issues with using FamiTracker with it. I went to Config > Midi > and selected my keyboard but I am still receiving no sound. As far as I am aware, all drivers are downloaded (however I can't access their website). Can anyone help?

Just set up a paypal account and to be honest, I was a little upset because of how long it took to transfer money from my bank to the paypal account. I sent money to someone for a couple gameboy mods (now that I think of it, I should get back with him), but here is what I did.
Opened up a new checking account that is not linked with my main.
Tied that account with Paypal.
Only keep a max of $100 in that account.
If it is untrustworthy, then I'm only out $100. Not loosing everything. /shrug

Tomorrow is payday. The long awaited day for me to send in my DMG and have it ready so I may finally start using LSDJ for recording (and also playing around with some extra things).
To be quick, because I am running late for work: Would it be safe/needed to have a Variable Clock (Pitch mod is what I think it is normally called) and a Half-Clock on the same gameboy? I don't want both to be installed and then have something burn up since I am guessing both do deal with tampering with the processor.
Thank you again for all your help in advance!

Where can I find the OmniCore program? I would like to have a sound like this, but all my Google searches go to some health group...

If you just go through the two pages; Everyone who says that you don't need an education in music later states how beneficial it is and how learning it has improved their own music...

So yes, music education is important for any and all genres.

i'd say it's definitely necessary to write "clever" music

However people would not understand what is being done because lack of lyrics. Being a musician, I highly believe that music fundamentals (such as theory and composition) are extremely necessary. Understand roots, major and minor thirds, triads, inversions, ect. helps with writing music and straying away from the same rhythm and time signature. David Firth made a joke of this on this Fat-Pie website under the animation called Music. Sad thing is, he one-hundred percent knew what was going to happen.

Don't get me wrong, I don't mind listening to the verse-chorus-verse stuff of today. I grew up in the '90s, so bands like Smashing Pumpkins and Stone Temple Pilots have a place in my heart. Hell, Nirvana was as simple as they could come (until In Utero). However, I enjoy Chopin and Satie over anything else. It is music like Tchaikovsky that makes me think. Even Nobuo and his scores for Final Fantasy is what made me want to be a musician; what made me write music; what made me by a gameboy and get involved with chiptunes, and his music is art when looking at the conductors score!

Sudden stutters. A quick instrument change on the repeated melody. Dropping the drums for a bar, etc.

I am writing all this down of staff paper right now and playing it back with midi using finale. I haven't ordered in LSDJ yet, so I don't know the programs full potential.

For those musicians out there; ever had that moment when you had something in your head, but couldn't write it down? It happens to all creative types, artists, inventors, ect. Left work at six in the evening and just now finished looking at my tablet trying to finish this one transition in a song. I have complained about my past before on this forum, but I wrote this music with the purpose to be looped for a game idea I had that was going to be made in RPGMaker XV. Point being: I am faced with making songs that are :30-1:00 in length fill a 'close to' three minute gap. I read this article online about audio loops earlier today (wish I could remember the website) and how to avoid making the music become an annoyance. Some examples given were to rearrange the structure before repeating, muting the melody for a section of the loop, or expanding the ending. What are some practices you follow to avoid constant repetition? Like the title states; I added eight bars and my song just pushes itself over the two-and-a-half minute mark (however by doing so I may have changed the dynamic from a soft innocence melody to that of a harden adventure) (best way to describe what I did hahahahaha).

This is pretty good. Has a great retro feel as in the music feels like I have heard it before back in the day. That feeling that brings me back to my childhood but with a modern twist.

Need to quote everyone else here; I need to buy a Sega Genesis.
Just getting into chiptunes, and even though getting lsdj for my cgb, I would love to play on a Sega console again and hear what sounds I can get!

Just found an rca to left-right 1/4" jack at guitar center that will allow you to use two channels of your mixer. I don't know if I read the question correctly, but I'll send a link as soon as I find it on their website.

Edit; was easier to find then I thought.

Again, not sure if this is what you're looking for, but just found out about this a couple days ago and will be using it myself.

The price difference only becomes apparent when you connect it up to a computer to transfer saves, and in reality, flashing the ems isn't as awkward as some people make it out to be.

In terms of flashing, I was going to have the website I buy the cartridge from flash for me (unless that isn't recommended, than I guess I'll do it myself). When it comes to saving , is it just copy and pasting over to a desktop folder?

I didn't know if I should pick this cartridge up now and start, or save up for a drag n deep instead.
