Ah I agree. There is definately always a certain thing lacking from emulations of our beloved chips. Maybe its the lack of electrical components that subtly colour the sound (and this is presuming "perfect" emulation)
Beating the Berlin release will be tough Yerz

Re: SAMPLETRACKER on ZX Spectrum. (34 replies, posted in Other Vintage Computers & Consoles)
It is supposed to be released as MP3 recordings from real ZX and also as a program in music-collection style.
?! Mp3s from a real ZX? that sounds amazing.
Or do you mean, MP3's converted (not on Speccy) from rec ording made direct from real Speccy?
Either way, your Berlin school release was one of the greatest chip releases Ive ever heard, so am looking forward to this!

So you wan't a box with 4 pot's and 2 joystick wires? Would 500Kohm do? That's what I seem to remember from my C64 mods.
that is correct, im not sure about the resistor!
I am in the middle of building one of these now, but I'm afraid I can't test until I get my Mssiah cart back from my old roommate. Are the carts still available online? (About to google/answer my own question)
Edit: Yep 50 EUR each - if nobody chimes in on this I will start a build for you in a week or so. [email protected] to discuss if you're down.
Thanks! Someone has mentioned maybe putting me one together over here in the uk. il be in touch if for some reason this doesn't happen

All of John Wyndhams books are worth aread but Triffids is the only one i've read thats post-apocalyptic.
Never seen a film version of it, but im gonna hunt one down.Check out The Chrysalids. Its my favorate of his, set after some sort of disasterious event with people mutating n shit.
Ah, twas the first of his books i read, at about 13. I dont remember it being set after some disastrous event though, otherwise would have mentioned it here! Only that the main characters lived on some little amish like farmstead and had crazy telepathic power and shit, before heading out to find the city.
Deffo gonna have to go for the reread!

Totally worth the watch just for the introduction to the insane concept of 'gun-kata' and some well-thought-out (if totally implausible) fight scenes
Word... a Gun martial art?! How sick.
Though like you say, the whole theory behind it is complete bull
Optimum angles/ position using statistics? yehrite lol
