You know what sucks? People not knowing about chipmusic at all, or not even caring about. That's the main thing, actually. They would go if they knew and liked.

It actually doesn't matter that there is buses until 12am if there is people interested genuinely in going to the events. My logic may be flawed, but increasing interest you call people to the events. I know there is a lot of events people don't show up at all, but there must be a link broken so the "scene" can become strong.

EDIT: that may be flawed to the extreme cause there are people doing this for more than 5 or 6 years and are still the same as it was or even worse than it was. Nevertheles, "publicity" it's something to pursue, something I know James is doing. And that's the issue people were discussing when I hopped in the chipscene 3 years ago.

I hadn't intended to imply that other areas needed to step it up or anything.

But I do.
Step it up, punks! smile

Yeah, we need to step up. But this kind of event takes years and to go to the next level is just hard working.
Also is nice how the thread deviated.

Also Blip is just one event. I don't know why there aren't more of its scale, elsewhere in the world. There should be, and anyone with the interest and motivation to make it happen really should. The Blip team is basically three scatterbrained fuck-ups with a questionably functional practical relationship. If we can do it, other people definitely can.

Not to make excuses, but NYC is a massive city with a massive arts/music scene and an excellent (and mostly 24/7) public transportation system - this certainly helps a small scene such as chipmusic alive and thriving. In the UK when most Public transport ends before midnight, it certainly makes it harder to organise events on a larger scale. I do try though, believe me!

Plus we don't have an excellently run arts organisation with the financial clout and love of chipmusic to help us out (WINX etc)

Change UK to Brasil and it's almost it. Also, to run something that big in Brasil we would have to go after sponsors.

@subway sonicbeat: i cant even delete the file if i cant access the page to play it.

if i cant delete the file, even if i do rename it, it does not allow a similar file upload. that is, even if i rename the original file, i cant.

thanks anyways

So try to contact the mods here by PM, I think thrash80 might help you.

People know that after drinking too much somebody will remember when you got naked and did some ugly stuff. Worst part is that people took pictures of you.

I find funny that, almost 100 years later this thing is actually happening, with noises, kraftwerk and their trains, machines taking place etc. Industrial and their machines also. Just amusing anyway.
