I probably shouldn't leak this, but y'know...
Blip Festival 2011 Workshops:
Make yourself a MIDI Controller w/little-scale
Australia's finest, little-scale will show you how to literally turn yourself into a MIDI controller, with the help of some light surgery and an Arduino circuit board. He's a doctor now, so you can trust him.
$75, approx 3 hours - includes anaestheticDatabends with Nullsleep
Armed with only a cracked copy of photoshop and a legit copy of Audacity, Nullsleep will show you how to make 'dark/edgy' press photos that will sure to look unique!
$666, approx 2 hours - bring your own laptop/picturesThe Sabrepulse Tutorial: Live! Featuring Sabrepulse
The world famous tutorial that launched 1,000 versions of the same song, Sabrepulse now will go through the tutorial in person, and coincidentally after this course is the Blip Fesitval Open Mic, so everyone can hear the same song a few times in a row!
$50, approx 2 hours - LSDJ/Game Boy not included
you're so modest, you won't even mention your hilarious thread creation workshop?
yeah big shows are cool.
best of luck
I think it would be nice if each line up was different considering how many musicians are in town for such a limited time. Because I guarantee there are more than enough people coming to fill up every bill. But I've been given the distinct impression in the past that this is an unpopular sentiment. Nobody really seems to understand why I think this is a good idea.
Could not understand why that would ruffle someone's feathers. Seeing the same performer more than once in a span of a couple days is less attractive than it may seem. UNLESS it's the Ungrateful Dead.
shit we should have a kickstarter for a better blipthread huh?
That's cute
Puyallup is a fucking rollercoaster and home to countless chiptune superstars, namely; Mit Lifter, 253k, pTrix, minuscabby, Pally, goneoverto79, and many more. The fairgrounds can be rented out with little trouble and would be a truly great time always fun blipfest haven.
You can travel here by train Much like this person did. Or you can take a pleasant mountain drive.
wouldn't be surprised if there was, there's always a show happening somewhere in cali.
I'd suggest So Simple Soundsystem, it's googleable. Wet Mango and WMX are a part of it and book shows all the god damned time.
I'm replying because I love playing in LA and I hope other people will start realizing it as well.
Hey, blipfest is cool guys.
trust me
Your friends sound like assholes.
Just added in the headlining spot: Trash80.
Is he just getting really sick of being at home or something?
been popping up like crazy lately.

we're working on a carpool (possibly a van rental) to get a bunch of us out there, represent the midwest in force
If it would be cheaper in the long run, I may entertain this idea..
I heard Jose is baking us brownies

nice try, but sucking up won't get you on the bill
nice try, but having an attitude won't get you on the bill

I was wondering how long it would take to for wish lists to surface.
I propose someone makes a sweet cm.org app to make such list.
