Would it be possible to update the list, please? Many links seem to be dead and there's no clear information on which software might possibly still be developed in the future. Any input will be much appreciated, thanks! big_smile

I recently realised the last note in each pattern does not belong to it. What was the design idea for having virtual position -1 before position 0? You can hardrestart ADSR without that.

I noticed on YouTube that previous defMON versions had border blinking with each pattern. Is it possible for this feature to come back? It would help with syncing defMON with external hardware. A lot.

Rarely. I overwrite a lot and I thought that was the reason. big_smile But today I started a sample song to upload at the forum - and poof! 4 patterns and 66 Blocks instantly. big_smile

This is my habit because I did not know about Global Mode. I entered it once and was annoyed thinking I bugged defMON. big_smile

About the bug: affected songs went to 66 Blocks out of nowhere. I use Commodore64 and SD2IEC.

I see people reporting bugs here. Is this the right place? smile If so, I know one. big_smile Sometimes output file is reeaaaaaaaally big despite the fact I just started the song and have only a few patterns. This happens in GP version that I'm using. I didn't find the end pattern bug. I always copy 00 pattern because I have custom speed settings written there and am too lazy to retype that on each new pattern.

This might be tricky and I was struggling as well.

At first I used AD (e.g. 0C), without SR. This with WGWG set to 2001 will make a bit prolonged saw sound. Manipulate 0C value up and down to see how it works for you.

Remember to set --00 in WGWG and 0000 in ADSR in the line before all instruments to restart the envelope.

Once you know how to make sounds like this, try setting ADSR value to e.g. 6C66. It will raise slower and sustain for a bit. You can release it by calling instrument 00 in the pattern editor from second column.

Haha now I regret I did not finish that idea earlier wink My target are entry level people with some understanding in tracking software. Lets say casual musicians. The idea is to give them knowledge how each column in editor corresponds with sound. The questions are popular recently. But I assume you will cover the topic way better. Link your vids too.

Not sure if this needs attention anymore but I can confirm that this works indeed as I'm using the same combination myself.

I don't know if this is the right place or not but if there's any reliable source of working 8580R5 SID chips I may acquire or maybe if someone has a few spare -- please let me know, any information would be useful.

For quite a while I've been thinking about making a series of instruction videos on youtube or something, possibly even two: One about how the SID works in general, and one about how to use defMON. Main obstacle is actually that I don't have a video camera.

That's interesting because this is literally what I am preparing to do myself especially in regards to defMON. I still use the GP version but plan to go updated for the YouTube vids.
