thanks for taking the time to listen! smile

Expected time is 3 - 10 days with the signed post.

The express post (which was given as 1 - 2 days) simply costs too much.

I will add this to GenMDM.

Express shipping to Austria was ***$85***.

FYI: The signed registered non-tracked shipped was $26...

RyuX: I've posted yours.

Please note: I was not able to purchase tracking, as tracking was approx. ***$60***.

Instead, I've asked for signing at the other end, which I hope is of some use.

The postage prices amaze me.

I've always been happy with the chips I've bought from http://www.arcadechips.com/ - I've bought quite a few sound chips, and they've always worked...

The post office assured me that the tracking number works. I'll go back and ask them today during my lunch break.

At any rate, they said 3 - 10 days.

RyuX: Will post yours today. I'll message you with a tracking number.

I would suggest a crystal oscillator of either 1.83 MHz, 2.0 MHz, 1.0 MHz or 1.5 MHz.

I've found that 1.83 MHz ones are easy to source where I live.

The SN76489 is pretty happy with a variety of clock speeds and sources.

Thanks for listening!

Of interest to GenMDM version 2 PCB owners:

Yep but you have to cut the trace in this step:

"Take your GenMDM Teensy. Note the underside. There is a series of three pads marked 3V 5V. Cut the trace that is between the middle pad and the pad next to the 5V sign. "

I'm just saying that - from, let's call it a philosophical point of view - I would not want to add a newly synthesised music part to increase the bass, rather I would want to just use an audio signal as an input to an audio process of some sort.

I like how bassy and over the top trap music and related genres sound, and I'm wanting to get a similar feel with my chipmusic.

Let's assume that the sine wave trick - which is a good idea, and I've used it before - won't really work with alot of chipmusic (for example, Game Boy music).

Which analog gear are you thinking?

I'll check out the brainworks plugins.
