Heyy, I'm currently running LSDJ on my Gameboy Colour, and Nanoloop on my Gameboy Advance, and a friend just gave me his old GBA, which got me thinking, is there any other programs I can use on either besides them two? I've had a look around myself, and can only find other trackers similar to LSDJ really.

If you use more than ~6 minutes of samples(if mono, ~3 min if stereo) or more than 8 different samples during a set, you'll have to at some point switch banks and wait a bit (or work around it by playing something that doesn't need samples while it loads. Thanks for all the help on this, however, when I go to slave Nanoloop I only see options "a" and "m". Following the manual, I just went to the ">>" button, pushed A + B to 'prepare slave', then hit B + Select, but it just cycles through "a" and "m", I'm not seeing the "c" mode. I'm using Nanoloop 2.8.2, so I think it should have that option, any help would be appreciated!

Yeah, mpx8 can take a long time to load if you're near the max sample time for that bank (something like 6 min if mono iirc, believe it's got 32MB per bank), but i can recommend it for sure. I use one for longer samples when i can't squeeze all the samples into a piggy tracker project

Had a look at the MPX8 and that looks like the kind of thing I’m after! What is it that takes so long to load exactly? From what I can gather, you can load 8 different samples to the 8 pads, then you can loaf another bank for 8 different samples, is that what takes so long?

After watching a few tutorials on it, people just seem to use it for making beats on, which is a bit much for what I would want it for. I just want to be able to load in some samples, then just hit a button/pad when I want the sample to come in, nothing to complex really!

Heyy, I’ve only just got into writing electronic music, and I’m using LSDJ and Nanoloop at the minute. When I’ve come to master some songs I’ve added samples and vocals, and was wonderig if anyone had some advice on what hardwar I could use to replicate them live, as I’m just using two gameboys to play live at the minute.  I would preferably want something small in size, that can store multiple samples to play across quite a few tracks! Any help would be appreciated! Thanks, av!

Thanks for the response, do you have any details on how using an analog source would work, or what I could use as an analog source? After looking around I think the best bet (That's affordable) is Korgs Monotron Duo. I have a pair of sync connectors for the Gameboys, a headphone splitter, and plenty of 3.5mm jack cables, do you think that would work?

Heyy,
I’m currently using LSDJ 6.8.2 on Gameboy Colour and have Nanoloop 2 on Gameboy Advance. I’ve Been trying to sync them and noticed this version of LSDJ doesn’t have the NANO sync option! Does any one have any advice on how I can sync these as I can’t find anything online!

Heyy, I’ve got a Subzero mini mixer, and I’m running LSDJ off my gameboy colour! I bought a 3.5mm to 1/4 inch jack cable to conect the two, but the sound coming from the mixer is really quiet and has a lot of background noise that isn’t there when I plug headphones directly into the gameboy! I tried the same cable with my little bits synth kit and that worked fine! Is there anything I’m missing?

Heyy, I’ve been using a Gamboy Colour with a GB USB smartcard running LSDJ, and have bought a Gameboy Advance and Nanoloop Two Cartridge. I’ve heard that you can link the two to play together, does anyone know what cable(s) I would need to link these? Thanks!
