Re: LSDJ : Pulse Bass vs Wave Bass (and rest for Beat) (34 replies, posted in Nintendo Handhelds)
I love using the PU1 for my kick drums by utilizing the S command. If you write your song so that the lowest bass note in your song is C3, you can get a decent low bass in the pulse channel. I often layer a wav bass with a pulse bass. This especially works well when you want to get into the more growly bass sound possibilities in the wav channel, as they often have a cool sound but end up lacking sub bass. Also layering sounds in general works wonders

One of the best LSDJ releases ever made. If you haven't heard it, hear it now.

I understand your frustration, but don't be such a spaz. Dude's been in the scene for years and providing the community with some bomb ass gear and mods. It's not like he's some random dude who just started selling stuff. Like, try to be understanding. Whatever the situation may be I'm sure dude will sort it out and get your your money and/or goods. Honestly do you think he'd ruin his reputation just for a lousy $20 (or whatever it is you spent)?

Re: Where to start with LSDJ??? (40 replies, posted in Nintendo Handhelds)
I'd just go with an original psp one. They're heavier and cheaper, and they get the job done and are pretty easy to mod. You don't even have to buy a pandora battery (when I was modding mine, I ended up buying one, later to find out I didn't need it).
p.s. thanks

I could forsee you doing some really cool things with psp, but you're right about LSDJ being easier to start out with in my opinion. Will you still be using FL studio as well?

Also have you considered using LGPT for the PSP or GP2X? I love that program. It's a sample based/synthesis tracker. It's got the same layout as LSDJ, but it has 8 channels and many more options for sound manipulation as well as a broader range of sound possibilities. Both are great options but since I've heard some of your past music I think you might love LGPT for what it can do. Either way, I'm looking forward to hearing more music from you.
