A legend is born.

Shipped out this morning!

So check out what came in the mail today! I was impressed that they each came with a case. Also the label is a little better too. I haven't tested all of them (and probably won't) but the one I did had two saves ready to go! I'll be shipping these out tomorrow!

You could always just buy one individually, it's not like you're saving a TON of money. And I'll send you a label for free if you do! smile

Good news guys! Seller shipped last night, and by some miracle UPS already got it to the US. It's scheduled for delivery tomorrow, which means I'll be able to take advantage of the weekend and get them all shipped out!

Here's the tracking info in case  you don't believe how fast this got from shanghai to anchorage:

Funny that now I'm using this thread as a reference.

Wow, this is great. I am really excited to see this done. Seems fairly straightforward. Do you plan to have an internal power supply? Heck, you could even probably use an old computer psu easily enough! They don't supply 9volts for the NES, but does the Yobo use that? Even so, you're probably safe with 12. Also that would allow you to wire up the power/reset switches super easily.

Got a a donor cart shell and applied a label. Other than my sketchy xacto knife cutting, I'm pretty pleased. This image looks like bad Photoshop oddly enough...

you report a lot I'm guessing

Depends on your definition of what "a lot" is. I probably report more than most people, but it's way more effective to report something rather than flame the OP in hopes that he'll just go away. I report it, and forget it. The rules aren't really long at all, and most of them just make logical sense.

Those are the best aboys I've ever seen! Really great work on the parts sourcing and design. Have a picture of one assembled?

Hey that's great! I've always wondered, how does the screen of a backlit GBA compare to a micro? I really like the form factor of them.

Not to mention he didn't even take 1 minute to figure out which section to post his sale in. I saw it, reported it for being in the wrong section and semi pleaded for it to be closed because I knew this would happen. Well not THIS, I never thought it would be 4 threads later and still this.

I think part of the problem is that due to other HUGE sites (like reddit and 4chan) people are mistaken and think that cm.o is huge as well. Truth is there's maybe 100 regular users here, with only about another 100 irregular users. You have to treat this more like a bunch of mutual friends hanging out than a spotlight talent show. Just think, if you went to a party with some people how weird would it be to pause the music grab the mic and do your "what's up guys I'm teh penguin of doom, I know I'm new here but I have a lot of potential to be a really cool guy" type of intro. No! You come in, try to get in on a conversation and drop a line or two when you have something to say. Eventually people will remember you and enjoy you. Why is this such a foreign concept online?

Got the labels printed off today. They look great! Texture is great too, hard to distinguish between real labels in my opinion. The only real factor here is how well you can cut (I'm not cutting all these out precisely for you!) Anyways, here's a picture:

Ordered!

replying to the email to reply to PM would be grand

i'm not personally really in for the auto-delete stuff.  who's to know that the oldest message in someone's inbox isn't the most important?  and, that its still there because they are 'saving' it?

increasing message # allotment would be cool

Well I figure, you could have an auto-delete option, as well as the ability to LOCK a message from deleting with auto delete?

Also thread view PM's would be so awesome. Like instead of just a bunch of quotes, if you could view PM's just like any other thread.
