The beauty of Piggy Tracker is that it runs on anything - including PCs and Macs (or Linux, if you're that way inclined). My workflow is that I download / make all my samples on my Macbook **, work out some basic loops on Piggy Mac and then move it to my PSP for arranging/jamming/polishing.

So my advice would be, start with it on a PC and if you like the results get a PSP or Dingoo...

** this is where Renoise comes into its own - creating / editing / looping samples then exporting at 8bit resolution FTW!

Thanks for the pro tips Matt!

At the risk of revisiting a well-discussed subject, I'm thinking of getting another handheld for some DUAL PIG ON PIG ACTION.

I can probably get a second-hand PSP for the same price as a new Dingoo. I'm currently using LGPT on PSP. Which should I go for? What are the pros and cons of each?

I jailbroke my PSP about five years ago after a few drinks, and I don't really remember the process, other than that it was really fiddly and took me a whole evening...

jumping on matt's hog and riding wild with this thread....

I'd like to get a start with piggy tracker, too. What's the cheapest + fastest way I could go about it

Cliche or no, whenever I listen to a really nasty (non-chip) dubstep mix I get inspired to start experimenting with more wacky shit in the WAV channel.

Art informs Art, etc etc

the cream of nasty dubstep mixes, and superb artists to boot there!

I think it rinses and cleans like a form of cycle. There will always be 'cliches' made from music forms that reach a certain popularity around itself. Though the fundamental, free process of music, will always be here.

Very well put sir.

Eventually going to upgrade to a white IRO frame and switch to Bullhorns and only front brake.  WOOO!

Looking sexy right here.

Where is cheapshot up in this bitch? He loves himself a bike.

Just stumbled across the thread now. I'll get a pick of my bike up in a bit. Nothing too rad, just an old Specialised Langster with Deep V rims, carbon front forks, and various other modifications. Fast and light as hell though. I love it.

Thanks dude big_smile

And yes, Quarta 330 is fucking superb.
Also, (tl;dr) minikomi is a legend.

Messing around with the wave channel I was able to get some sound out actually, but it was still buggy...

It's the shiznit!

does the EZ flash stick out of a GBA at all? it says it uses just regular SDs and it seems like it would have to be slightly oversized to fit a standard SD

The EZ flash fits real snug. One issue I had though was that it uses a mini-SD, not micro SD which is what I consider to be normnal, so I had to buy a micro>mini-SD adapter. This mini-SD adapter got stuck in the cart, which is not really a problem cos the micro-SD slips in and our of the mini-SD adapter.
