Aside: IMO "weird" isn't just defined as the time signature you choose. You can make really natural sounding material in any time signature just as you can write absolutely bizzare timings within 4/4

Actually, I just listened on my phone. Believe it or not, I think most of the song is actually all just a swung 4/4. You can tell by the beat accents. Except for patterns like the intro, where a 6/8 groove is implied with groups of 3:2. But yeah, my cards are in it being strictly 4/4 (swung, 6/8 feel) with an occasional 3:2 grouping.
Whatever time signature, it's a beautiful song and I liked it a lot!

Do you mean 4 over 3? like "4:3"?
4/3 implies that it's a time signature, which */3 doesn't exist.
I'll take a listen to the jam when I get home tonight and see what you mean!

This one is mostly made of 5s, but there are a good amount of meter changes in the intro.

Jesus an0va, thats a sick release.
It's already my favorite release of the year. It has that Zappa aesthetic that I really love and wish I could do someday.

but then it sounds clunky! you'd have to tune it all to match the bpm
Renoise actually now has a break autosync to tempo (or user-defined number of tracker steps)
