You have a bunch of unused pins on a stock arduino, so id suggest hacking arduinoboy, ditching the mode changing LEDs, boot it in MGB mod and adding some knobs and buttons as a control surface for whatever is left:

im pretty sure the envelopes aren't tick based, its using the built into hardware envelope so you have to just use the timing of your note and your ear to finagle something close to rhythmic coincidence.

You can try a hum eliminating power strip, or a nice external usb hub that might have better grounding.

I'm good.

also there is a prosound mod to disable the startup sound,

start your GP2X while holding Start + Select, firmware will upgrade and then youll have glorious silence.

Im trying to figure out the latest version of GP2X piggy with working midi, because its broken in the ghetto.

Here is my last known good working zip:

Bonus: It runs at boot, and automatically does the devnull to the extra serial data so you can just change lgpt.gpe as you want and it *should work*. Also has my custom colors and a mapping of x and b to tap tempo and start so I can jam it better on the one.

yes. lsdj is still a little better.

Maybe its a problem with the prosound, when I had mine it never did that. Are you using nice shielded cables?
