you can always not use them. Ui suggestions : have some sort of page indicator scrolling left to right so you know how many channels you have left, or perhaps a info row at the bottom that shows what notes are playing on which channel and highlight which channel the cursor is on.

Take two samples, put them on loop with a very small lense, detune, and mess with pitch commands. You can also get a really nice distorted bass sound in the wav channel.
