With a (not included) powerpak you can use the expansion out to create songs on famitracker and mml for the following chips:
FDS, NSF, VRC4, VRC6, N106

Btw the mods connect very simply to a NES Mobo, so if you wanted to go nuts and add more mods you can easily do so and replace if you mess the NES up. The cart slot lid has a chunk I took out for the midines cable so it can close flush, but you can easily swap that part of from another unit should you want to do that.
Not really. What good is that for someone running midines or playing NSFs off a Powerpak? Cause this NES is REALLY GOOD FOR THAT.

Midines is not included. That jack is for the new PSU that powers the preamp and the NES itself.
I'm selling my XIK modded NES. This contains a new power supply that powers the unit and also two burr brown preamps for pu 1+2 and dmc/noise/triangle channels. There is tons of gain on it so you can crank it up to a nice fuzzy distortion or just leave it at loud and clean. Ive replaced the first pot because it cracked, and added a powerpak compatible expansion audio out mod that is unamplified.
Looking for $350 or a trade perhaps for a dmg with internal arduinoboy, or an audio komplete 6 or casio vz-1 or ???

The limit isnt the cart, its the sound hardware. If you think about it lsdj is 6 tracks, since you can soft mix two sample channels at once.
midivamp 2 is a different product than vamp1, and is in stock apparently.
