Nice one!  Interesting differences between the two.

This is fantastic minimalistic heavyness.  Two middle fingers way up!!

As I said to Minikomi, I prefer to think of it as a rising "What? WHAT? WHAT??!".

Yes, I believe you are correct.

Damn, I hope you've got decent renters/home owners insurance.  That's a lot of $$$ the fucker swiped.  sad

Listened to some of it, not as cliche as I expected.  I actually like "Metametroid" a lot.

Slight change of topic:  Is this kind of thing a compliment to chipmusic?  Or is it purely nostalgia?  Discuss...

You sure you're not up for shipping this to the UK? I'll cover postage and that. Got an NL 1.5 I'm looking to trade

Well, if I don't get US offers in the next week or so I'll get back to you OK?

yeah, id make the trade if i had room for the 303, but i already dont have enough space to set everything up sad

But think of all the space you'd free up by sending me that big bulky cart tongue

The Mist Toggles was kind enough to give me this rundown but having flash memory was the deciding factor:

i will go through a first rough impression and then you can tell me on which part you might want more details

so, first of, 1.3 vs 1.5:
-both use flash memory, thus safe wink
-1.3 has arps in all channels but only specific notes, 1.5 has arps in some channels but you decides on the notes
-if you plan to use it on a dmg or pocket (or light), 1.5 has an additional voice (yes, a fifth) which can add some nice detuning etc but is not really versatile. I really like it to 'drone' my pulses...
-1.3 has the retrigger function on the S channel
-1.5 can produce strange noises if you play with extreme sweep values on empty shells

now, the oldies(<1.3):
-they all sync differently than the newest, but still syncing is possible
-they all have trouble with complex sequences which adds character in my opinion... smile
-in all, playback is affected by d-pad pushes, like classic trackers, which can make interesting live things...
-the sound in all is more...DMG smile more harsh, it kicks harder and grinds sharper tongue
-battery based memory...thus risk of loosing tracks is constant.
-could be overly unstable and crashy
-have only 3 channels (n, s and double voiced p)
-<1.2 have only one S wave and the other 15 are derivates of the one you draw

...probably more differences exist, but these i think are the main you might face...

... or you could buy the 303 for the exact cost of me ordering a new 1.5 which would be $81.55  tongue

Looking to trade my Roland MC-303 for a Nanoloop 1.5 or 1.3 --

Does not include power supply but your local Radio Shack or Wal-Mart has appropriate ones for cheap.
US only, please!  I'll pay to ship the 303, you pay to ship the cart.

This would essentially be PR8 on a gameboy using only one track... maybe Neil could give you some tips or starting points?

EDIT:  Nevermind, I got the info I needed.  smile

I'm looking to get some additional carts but I can't seem to find a "side by side" comparison of the various versions.  Links?  Help?

Ha, yes it needs editing.
