I put the iron right against the bottom of the glass and all the way left to right continuously.

You don't need any extra pressure from the iron, make sure you sweep it all the way to edge of the ribbon.  Your screen will probably discolor but don't worry it comes right back.  It may take several tries before all the lines stay on after everything has cooled down.  Expect each try to take around 3 minutes (with a pre-heated iron).

I've got a Mach 5 fast loader cart for C64 that's not selling on ebay... so I'll send it to somebody on here for free.  It'd be nice if you sent me something random in return but hey, whatev' smile

PM me an address if you think you can use it.  USA only please.

I got spammed as well from this account:  http://chipmusic.org/avelin  (in case they're using multiple accounts)

Throwing this in here for the next time somebody asks about an affordable usb interface.  Has input, output, and phones gain control and is bus powered.  Oh yeah, great sound as well (my cheap KRKs actually sound like monitors and not wet cardboard).  smile

I'm thinking along the lines that a "drum" or "instrument" would actually be a multi-voice patch (like a multi-oscillator synth) then have, say, an 8 track step sequencer so that the tracks are not explicitly tied to a NES voice. Then have a priority system, top-to-bottom. Would be quite cool to have a 3-voice bass sound with 2 phasing square wave and triangle taking up the sub octave. smile

I like that idea a lot.  It's weird that you mention it now 'cause I've been playing with NL2.3 in pretty much the same way (same pattern on all channels and combining all the voices for each "note") and it can sound really cool.

The priority system -- you mean that lower priority tracks would only play if there's "room for them" when higher priority tracks aren't playing?

The screen shots are fantastic, you are on the exact right track.  big_smile

Looks like I'll need to make a bootable linux disc to play this, I can't get it working in windows at all ('cause I'm a dum dum).

There's A LOT to absorb in this album.  smile  After about 1 and 1/3 listens I can already tell you what I admire most about it:

This album sweats CONFIDENCE out of every pore.  The composition and sound design/choice always feel like they were placed "just exactly like this" with a perfectly clear result in mind, even during the most psychedelic "Flaming Lips" moments.  And everybody knows there's nothing more attractive than confidence.

This is one that I'll be diving into with some headphones and a pack of Marlboro's as soon as possible... haven't even begun to really analyze the lyrics.  Speaking of which, "fire and brimstone" never sounded so good.  smile
