Thank you to all of the well-wishers. I've decided to stop making music to focus on education. I'll be the first in my family to study at postgraduate level, and I feel like I'm just wasting my time with music. It's important for me to feel like I'm trying my hardest, and music isn't a welcome distraction any more. It doesn't help me to unwind. The money from selling off my gear would also go a long way towards paying my student fees for this year.

A bit of a long-winded explanation, but it sheds light on things I guess.

How about this for a solution to the crazy amount of releases?

As many chiplabels as possible get together and agree not to release anything for a year.  When that year is up, they can only release the best two releases that have been submitted over that year.

It means we will have less "backed" and "official" releases, and artists have to work harder to get onto a label.

or you could even sell them at the chip marketplace that will be set up.

Ok, I haven't listened to the whole list yet but I just had to say... you rock man. That first track is epic. The others I've listened to, you have such a good variety, and you really convey certain stuff through your music (like the betrayal, death, battle). I really feel that. And you seem to have a great handle on output size, which is important for game development usually. Any of the tracks I've listened to so far would fit into my theme.

I'd be honored to work with you. I bet it would help you if you could play through some of my game. I don't have much variety in area yet, overall I'm about 25% done. I'm working on the major systems right now, leveling next. Usually straight up level creation is the last to be done but I have a general outline of areas/bosses/goals on paper. Let me know how you wanna proceed.

If you could e-mail me a list of areas (and any necessary outlines for the music of those areas you think are appropriate) I can get to work for you. If you can get someone here to write a battle track (the thing I admit to being worst at), then I can write what you need. I'm not in university at the moment, so I can get started right away. What sort of timeframe do you have to write the game (how long do I have to write)?

Sycamore Drive - 2009 - 2010

I've been meaning to do a new release for ages. I'd started collecting new tracks for a couple of different releases which either never panned out, or for some reason, were abandoned. I felt like these tracks (which I do play most of live) deserved to be released in some form, so here it is, a compilation of my best unreleased tracks from 2009 to 2010.

You can check them out at the link below. The release is free, but if you'd like to donate, there is a button up on the bandcamp page.

chrome is smooth like butter on 10.6 for me

Same. It is noticeably faster than Firefox. After downloading the BetterTouchTool to add a few multitouch commands, it is hands down the best browser I've used.
