dire hit, dunno if it helps that much but I've been using a modified DMG-07 that katsumbhong helped me with to sync with a teensyboy (that he also helped me with) and it works fine for me!

I think the mod for the dmg-07 involves just jumping part of the board. it's not a difficult one to do I think, but I have to check with him to see exactly what he did

look for buried for a day, he does stuff in arizona and is pretty much awesome

well, *I* think it counts

mpd32 went to ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Akai-MPD32-MIDI … 608864908?

nanokontrol2 is still not on ebay if anyone wants it!

hey everyone! I wanted to put this on here before anything else -- I'm selling an Akai MPD32!

couple of issues:

1. I'm missing the driver/utility CD, but that can be downloaded off the Akai site
2. Some of the knobs are missing caps, but that's purely cosmetic
3. One of the knobs (k5) is broken -- it sends MIDI messages randomly after it's moved. it might make mapping things in ableton a little difficult, but as long as it's not mapped to anything else it should be fine >_>

the rest of the unit is perfectly functional!

it's on ebay now!

also, I'm selling a nanoKONTROL2:

mouse not included

there are no issues with this guy!

asking $40 + shipping

or if you want to be super cool you can get both for $150 + shipping

I'm going to leave this up for a couple of days and then get them on eBay, so PM me for details if you want! thanks smile

hey ryba -- thanks for the input!

couple of things: first off, the samples aren't all 808 samples >_> a lot of them were some lex luger (he produced waka flocka flame stuff (so yeah basically 808 but I'm clarifying)) samples drenched in too much reverb and other miscellaneous things. I'm planning on grabbing a tascam pretty soon so I can make my own samples out of WHATEVER I WANT

I also really like the sharpness of the samples! they give a lot of definition to my music that I've never had before, and I'm kind of obsessed with it now. I've always struggled with how much fx stuff I could get away with in my pure chip recordings, and most of the time a lot of the dynamics were lost because you couldn't hear the percussion. so I like it now! but I have a full-length under space town savior coming in the future that will probably be more your style smile

Cool, thanks for the info. I noticed the behringer 802 has an adjustable FX send for external effect units though it doesn't seem to be a function in DJ mixers.

Do none mixers like this currently exist? If so what kind of process would go into making your own mixer? No doubt it'd be complicated and technical.

I haven't seen mixers with multiple fx sends, unfortunately. it seems like most mixers will go down two paths -- one is the dj mixer route with built-in fx per channel, and one is the studio/instrument-oriented mixer with a single external fx send.

have you considered using a software solution? I know this is the mixer thread but I've been working with ableton and it'll give you SO MUCH control over the fx you're using per channel depending on how you map your midi controller. it's a bit of a learning curve but I've found it immensely helpful and worth it to get through. not so sure about making your own mixer tho, you'll have to ask someone more knowledgeable than me, but the things you're looking for might just be easier to do in software than hardware -- it's just something that's such an edge case that no company is going to really profit from making mixers that will support other companies' fx units with multiple fx sends sad

The km-202 is the best mixer ever. its like the 402, just cheaper. there is a mod that lets you add a soundcard to it too.

never heard of the soundcard mod! the 202 is the 2-channel version of the 402, and I only recommended the 402 because CS was looking for a 3+ channel mixer

I'm gonna keep shouting "hey" at the Korg KM402 for your 4-channel DJ FX Mixer needs:

http://www.djworx.com/skratchworx/reviews/km.php

they're not in production anymore, so you'll probably have to eBay one -- they're around $300ish I think. fx per channel. they pretty much took a mini-kp and smashed it into the mixer, so that's the fx set you'll be working with.

there's also the behringer djx750 -- it's a little cheaper, which means the fx aren't as good but it fits your requirements pretty well:

http://www.behringer.com/EN/Products/DJX750.aspx

unfortunately, I'm not aware of very many mixers that have an actual fx send per channel if you're trying to get a kp3 or something into your chain. I've seen chillbrave with a workaround that involves 2 mixers and having one of them with an fx send loop (with a kp3) feed into the second one which acts as like a "master" mixer, but that's something you'll have to figure out
