Hey, I made this beat with mostly LSDJ but, I added some other shit in it, anyway, I was wondering what y'all thought about the mix (note: I mostly want to hear about the mix). Any constructive criticism would be nice smile.

@e.s.c If I made it I'd have a lot more money/bitches, but that's besides the point. Brostep is like Metal/deathcore in the "-core" scene there are a lot of haters but the musicians don't care because they make the most money. As a result anything anybody says will sound like jealousy and/or draw more attention to the music they despise, just look at the song "Friday", because everyone was hating on it she made a million dollars or something crazy on Itunes. If you really hate an artist don't post him/her on a forum or comment about because lets face it everyone in here listened to it even though it's shit and that's supporting Ephixa.

Y'all are hurtin queefs

Thanks for the tips Analog, do you have any suggestions on how to variate the percussion without losing rhythm? Pulselooper, what do you mean by that?

Just wondering what you guys think about my song.

@wedanced

Alright, that cleared things up for me, I was under the impression that I was getting hate because of the way I worded my question (which is half true). Seems people were thinking I was asking how to make dubstep. This is untrue, I can do that just fine. What I was asking was how to make my music more interesting live by changing things up (whether with LSDJ or with other technology). I admit that I used the terms incorrectly, so I can see why people were getting confused. I do appreciate how people were trying to be helpful despite the misunderstanding/anger stemming from the poorly worded question, thats cool. I can dig that. Anyway thanks a lot everyone and again, I'm sorry for the poorly worded question (that would've solved a lot of problems).

I've no doubt that I'll be fucked in the ass for asking but, why is that not ok to say? Musicians say "it needs to be more rock/jazz/bluesy" all the time.

Honestly, I just didn't know how to word my question. If I were talking to my friends about songs and the creation of songs we would totally say "dubstep that shit up" or whatever. In fact I was making an electronic song with my friend, just for fun (not on my gameboy of course), and he said "it needs to be dubstepped..." I knew exactly what he meant. However, I concede I was in the wrong and I should've been more clear.

My sentiments exactly. I hate to seem all holier than thou, but jesus christ this shit got immature in a hurry.

Though, in their defense my question wasn't worded quite properly, I can see how it could've been interpreted as wanting a do-everything-i-want result from LSDJ. But yeah, I think I'm going to figure out what creative things I can do with the guitar pedals/mixers and shit I already have. Maybe I'll also invest in an Electribe or a Kaoss pad after some research of course. Anyway I wouldn't want to drag this drudgery on any longer, I got the answers I wanted. So I think this is a good place to end this.

Seems some people have misconstrued my question, I don't want to be a remixing genius, nor do I assume LSDJ has that capability. I was just wondering if there was a way to make my songs more unique live, you know? Like when you see a DJ live they don't play songs exactly they put a spin on it. In any case I'm little disappointed with the reaction I got. I'd have hoped a more "sophisticated" chiptune community would be more helpful when it came to answering a question but I guess appearances can be deceiving. Seems I'll just have to figure it out on my own.

thanks to the people that weren't to pretentious to help out, I appreciate it.

Well, what I mean is, when I'm playing live I want to be able to do more than just play the track and maybe put an effect on it, right? I want to be able to almost remix the tune live just to make it more unique, would I use an electribe type thing or is it just a ridiculous notion?

Hey, I just wanted to know if there was any way to breakbeat/dub my chiptunes live within LSDJ and if not what are some things I need to get started on that?
