Do you feel 25 years old or 25 years young? tongue

As do I.  I don't like being in the final age bracket.  :-/

I agree with some of the other stuff said about video games not necessarily affecting my musical taste.  I don't listen to Mega Man soundtracks to get inspired.  I listen to the music I'd normally listen to: rock, blues, funk, folk, bluegrass, etc., and I try to incorporate them into this medium which is rather fun to get involved with.

Cheap Dinosaurs

Awesome stuff!

I'm glad I checked this out, because now I've heard Cheap Dinosaurs for the first time.

Thanks, that's good to know.  They seemed cool, but my order wouldn't go through.

Just also realized you can sort on Mouser's site from cheapest to most expensive.  D'oh!  My bad.

That does help, Kitsch.  Thanks!  I agree, the site is a bit confusing to navigate.  Maybe it's more my inexperience than the site itself, but I for sure was not finding what I needed.

Wilba, I must've missed that one or didn't quite make it far enough into the search results.  I looked through a lot, though.  $15 is more of a price I can handle!  Thanks!

Can anybody vouch for www.allspectrum.com?  Looks promising.

I checked those out, but I don't need 100' spools.  I couldn't find anything less.  They're also like $50 or more, which seems like they might be more for professional application.  I'm a hobbyist at best.

I've been looking to get some smaller wire to make closing up after a mod a little easier.  I'd like to get some 28awg hookup wire, but I can't seem to find a 1) legitimate looking and 2) reasonably priced online supplier (which doesn't require you to buy in bulk).  Does anyone know of a good place to get this size?  I have Googled and searched quite a bit already.  I don't need much.  Just enough to last me through a few Gameboy mod projects.

If music wasn't subjective, John Cage's 4'33" would never have been accepted by anyone.  I tend to think it's a bunch of nonsense, but that's what makes it subjective.  Obviously those who attended this performance don't agree with me.  Even though I see it as a bit of a joke, I can appreciate it as being one of the strongest arguments for "music" being defined as such because of human perception.

I'm not sure I understand.  Is this used to play samples from the NES?

How about some sweet music?  I really dig these guys.

Anais Mitchell is also really cool if you guys haven't heard of her yet.  Her last album was one of my favorites of 2011 (as much as that means coming from a total stranger tongue)  It's a "folk opera" based off of the Greek tragedy Orpheus and Eurydice.  Normally Greg Brown sings the part of Hades.  Justin Vernon of Bon Iver fame plays the part of Orpheus, Ani DiFranco plays the part of Persephone, and Anais herself plays Eurydice.  I'd highly suggest you all at least check it out.

Needs more videos.

Anyone else remember these guys?  I laugh every time the puppet raps.
