Hey y'all,
I'm trying to run Impulse Tracker (the last version, v2.14 Patch #5) on DOSBox, with no luck.
When I try to load a module and play it, it stutters like hell.
Are there specific config options on DOSbox to run it? Can't even remember what I did to config autoexec.bat back in 1993

Really glad you dig this, dear friends.
is the sega megadrive scene faded to doom?
this party lacks Comptroller's SID dj set
Over the past decade, a new Middle Class has emerged in Brazil. Very partly due to government aid that since 2002 had as its main point the extinction of extreme poverty, leveraging classes C to B and B to A. This new Middle Class, abnormally, took for itself a point of view of hatred and rancor to the same popular programs that, in a way, helped create their new status. And they recently went to the streets, asking for demands like the obligatory prison of young people under 18 years, dreading an absurd so-called "communist government in Brazil" and also supporting the back of the military dictatorship from the 60s and 70s. This album is a tribute to them.

I love this. John Carpenter and Dario Argento would be proud.

defMON looks rather cool, but at the moment I don't need the sync things.
I've already invested some time to learn how to use SidWizard, do you think it's worth learning defMON too, or are they similarly powerful?
I've found that defMON offers a lot of... freedom.
Hi, sorry for the necrobump. My Sega Mega Drive everdrive (chinese version) just arrived today. It´s loading regular game roms alright, but when I tried to load a vgmplay-rom with some .vgm files, it just won´t load. Just gives me a black screen. Curiously, the same .bin file loads fine on an emulator.
Anybody here has/had this problem?
easygoing dope. really like this.
that transparent one is just amazing.
Bit Shifter wrote:I have a feeling — and I haven't even heard the track so I'm speaking in general terms — that this kind of thing hits a nerve because it's an instance of a musical idiom being treated as worthy of examination only when person X with pedigree Y does it, and not otherwise. In cases where the material in question is perhaps less sophisticated than other music that might've been been a better example of the form, had it had the same benefit of an esteemed pedigree — well that only exacerbates the bad taste in peoples' mouths.
This is all a knowing oversimplification; I know Pitchfork has touched on chipmusic from time to time in the past. But it's hard to escape the sense that there's some lazy journalism at work when the form is presented so selectively. "Member of Known Quantity Band X wrote his EP on a Gameboy, Wow" is in some ways the new "Mario at a rave."
Or maybe it's just sour grapes! I don't know.
