Thanks!  What's your name?  So I can befriend you and like your post?

This is one week away!!!!!!! Also, I forgot to post the FB event link in the original post, so that's now updated.  If you don't mind inviting your friends or sharing the event on your FB wall that would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

The Unicorn Princess was kind enough to write about Metatransit on the Chiptunes = WIN blog.  Read the review here: http://chiptuneswin.com/blog/the-unicorn-princess-royally-reviews-metatransit-by-conquer-monster

Sorry I missed the release show at Diabolical I had a show myself that night.  I hope everything went well.  The new album sounds great.  BTW this is Joshua from Conquer Monster.

It's hard to see, but I'm playing my GBC in LSDJ Keyboard mode for this entire song.

Sweet, Muse is a very cool venue. Glad to see chipstuffs happening in UT.

Sidenote, I'll probably be visitng UT early next summer and was considering throwing a gig together, maybe I'll have to set something up with y'all.

Of course, contact us when you know some dates.  I'm in Conquer Monster.  Contacting us on Facebook is probably the best way to get a timely response.

Yeah I was a little surprised too.  They've been playing together a long time.

Cool, hopefully I can make it out!

It would be rad to finally meet in person.  Hope to see you there.

I've been trying to set up a chiptune show in Provo for a while now and it is finally ready to go.

Saturday December 5th at Muse Music (247 West Center Street, Provo, Utah)
Doors at 8pm, pre-sale tickets are available for $7.

If you have friends in Utah please consider inviting them to the facebook event and sharing the event on your wall.  Chiptunes aren't that big in Utah (especially Provo), so any help is greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

D9 [•_•] - The 8-bit solo dance master.  Pumpin' out the jams byte by byte.
Seve vs. Evan -  A catchy combination of chip-esque synths, punk drums, and upbeat piano.
Conquer Monster - Dystopian Electro SciFi.  Dark 8-bit/synth music overlain with science fiction samples from the 1950s.

-Donner Yellow Fall (Analog delay, small form factor, $40)

Delays and reverbs tend to add a lot to chip.  I like to use panning to set up an effect/clean channel.  Things I want to have FX i'll send right, clean I'll send left, for a little wet/dry mix I'll keep it on L+R.

Distortion pedals can be used to good effect but are harder to make use of than the aforementioned, I think.  I only got one good mix using a modded distortion pedal a few years back.  Distortion gets really apparent at 2:20.

This is very close to what I was going to suggest.  I use reverb and delay on every song I make.  Also, distortion is cool, but super hard to make sound good with my setup.  If you have any noise apparent in your setup distortion will intensify this.

If you are looking for other instruments, then I'd highly suggest a C64 with Cynthcart.  It is super easy to learn and you can use it easily without a monitor, so it is fairly compact.  Look here for more info: http://www.qotile.net/cynthcart.html

Ah, for clarification, you should file Noise Channel Radio under podcasts. It was a show that aired on Thursdays on Arecibo Radio, and uploaded an mp3 of the show the next day. Also, I agree... we do need more, hehe.

Thanks!  I moved it.

Everything should be up-to-date now.  If I missed something, please let me know!  Thanks for all the submission so far.  If you have more, please let me know and I'm update the original post ASAP!

The list is looking great.... we need more podcasts.  sad

Arecibo Radio ceased their operations and their DJs moved to 8bitx (http://www.8bitx.com/). Kinda sad, but things go that way sometimes.

Thanks, I've updated the original post.
