That's the problem, I don't want the headphone volume to be lower.  I don't want to drill holes into the pockets but I'd prefer an external jack.

Thanks all that pretty much answered my question.  Except for one:  if I were to add an external jack, headphones won't work on it.  I'm aware of that.  But if I prosound a pocket using the original jack, do I lose the headphone capability as if it was an external jack?  If not, then I don't see the point in adding an external jack and I will just prosound it using the original jack.  But if I am going to lose the headphone capability by doing an internal prosound, then I just want an external jack.  The speaker is useless to me.  I can barely hear it anyway.

You add a 1/4 jack or RCA's to make it suitable for your mixer/midi inputs etc. Not for improving quality of sound (of course if you add very expensive 3.5 jack gold plated it would make a difference I guess).

I am pretty sure the original intention of the prosound mod is to improve the sound quality.  That is why all of the modders out there offer 1/8" as a standard common mod.  When my pocket is running through my mixer, it puts out a nasty hum and I have been told the 1/8" prosound mod will decrease or even eliminate that.  I will try the connections that are shown in that picture you posted even though that isn't a pocket.  If it's doesn't work, I'll desolder the connection and try again.

Thanks.

If I do an internal prosound, then I lose the headphone capability, right?  That's why I was going to add new jack.  Isn't that why everyone adds a new jack to their DMG's when doing the prosound mod?

...I guess I should just go buy a multimeter and figure this out on my own then...

Don't you have to use ground when adding a new jack?  All tutorials for prosounding a DMG use the ground and it's actually like the 4th or 5th pin in those as well.

I read online that the second and third pins by the volume control are the left and right channels but is the ground?  Is it going to be fourth pin?

Submitted a track a bit back for this but I suppose it wasn't danceable enough.

Got three DMG's in a trade but I only use MGB's so I'd like to get rid of these.  They are in the same condition I got them in but will clean them up before shipping.  The prices of everything is very negotiable.  Just listed high to avoid extreme lowballs.

Gray DMG:  Yellow hand cast A, B, and D-pad buttons that have small bubble marks around the edges of the A and B buttons.  Scratch on front of unit at the end of the GAME BOY logo.  Scratches on back as well.  Includes link port and battery covers.  No dead pixels.  Functional speaker.  Black "bleeding" around top left side of screen but it does not "bleed" onto viewable screen.  Missing two case screws; rest are phillips.  Screen cover is in fair shape; not horrible though.
DMG w/ yellow buttons:  $20 obo.

Gray DMG:  Has RCA prosound mod on top of unit.  Includes battery cover.  Screen in decent shape.  Dead pixels on the left and right side but still playable.  Might even be fixable with the flat iron trick.  Functional speaker.  Only has two phillips screws.
DMG w/ RCA's:  $20 obo.

Gray DMG:  Has underclock mod.  Includes battery cover.  Screen in decent shape.  Some scratches on left edge like it was dropped.  No dead pixels.  Functional speaker.  Has six case screws but they are all phillips.
DMG w/ underclock mod:  $20 obo.
Backs of the DMG's.

Casio SK-1:  Physically, it shows wear.  Also, the black Eb key is very wiggly.  Everything works just as it should though including the Eb.  Installed the Get-LoFi Precision Oscillator mod which allows for awesome sounds.  Includes battery cover.  Has a small drill hole on the back side near the oscillator knob (no idea why but doesn't affect it).  Overall, this is in pretty good shape.
Casio SK-1 w/ Get-LoFi Precision Oscillator:  $100 obo.
Get LoFi Precision Oscillator on/off switch and knob.

Alesis SR-16:  Overall, good shape.  The scroll wheel can be a bit dodgy but otherwise this works well.  Will include a new power cord.  Not going to waste my time with a picture since I'm sure no one will want this unless requested (been trying to get rid of it for awhile with no luck).  I'd like $50 obo.

Prices do NOT include shipping.  Going to say $6 on the DMG's and $12 on the SK-1 within the U.S. and will refund the difference if it's less.  Will combine as well.

Enter the Void is a good (yet strange) movie.  I don't have it on blu-ray though, only DVD.  Blu-ray is trash.  Waste of money.

Skrillex is so dope!  I would never part with mine.  Good luck and when you score it, don't part with it.  Play it to death if you are a DJ!

I got this in a trade, played with it for awhile and decided it's not for me.  It works great.  Just looking to trade for something else that would be useful to me or just sell it.
