04. It is a member's responsibility to apply the correct license to the media uploaded to Chipmusic.org and the responsibility of everyone else to respect the licenses attached to the media uploaded to Chipmusic.org.

Unless a member has been given implicit permission of use by the original material owner (including, but not limited to text, graphics, logos, tools, photographs, images, illustrations, software or source code, audio, video and animations) or has been given permission via the terms of a Creative Commons license or copyright (see #04), members may not copy, modify, publish, transmit, upload, participate in the transfer or sale of, reproduce, create derivative works based on, distribute, perform, display, or in any way exploit, any of the content, software, materials or services posted to chipmusic.org nor bother uploading them in the first place.

06. Any member uploading media that violates Creative Commons licenses or any other copyright will have the material removed immediately and may be banned at the staff's discretion.

07. Chipmusic.org's policy is to preserve the availability of all content posted, with exceptions made at the discretion of the site's administrator & moderation team (such as instances of spam, harassment, offensive material, etc.)

08. All sales on Chipmusic.org are private sales between members and are not authorized or guaranteed by Chipmusic.org.

09. This is an all-ages forum, so please keep it clean! As a rule of thumb, if you wouldn't send it to your grandma we'd rather you not post it here. Violation(s) of this standard may be considered justification for a ban by a staff member.

10. We do not condone piracy in any form. Anyone posting links to illegal torrents and/or "warez" will be making an offense worthy of a ban from Chipmusic.org by its staff.

11. Please do not create threads for the sole reason of soliciting votes from this community.

12. Thread titles should describe the topic of the thread. Please avoid titles like "Help!" or "Have you seen this...". Something like "How can I do a beefy bassdrum with Midines?" or "I just saw a chip music reference at the bus stop" is good. Staff reserves the right to edit unclear thread titles to something more descriptive.

13. This forum is actively inclusive, regardless of race, gender, sexual identity or preference. Insensitive use of discriminatory language is not acceptable, please conduct yourselves accordingly.

Additionally, we reserve the right to amend these rules as we see fit. We will keep a change log in the Rules and Announcements Forum so that members will be able to see all amendments and changes.
