It will be very interesting to hear which great new versions of great tracks did make it to the compo, in the end.

Depeche Mode - Tora! Tora! Tora!
If that would be acceptable?

Radio shows:
Soundchip anno dazumal (www.wueste-welle.de/sendung/view/id/123/Soundchip_anno_dazumal.html)
-> always chip
Ultimas Lagrimas (https://ultimaslagrimas.wordpress.com/w … -lagrimas/)
-> gamewave/bitpop

I am really sorry if my question gave that impression.

Mega STE4 with 80 MB HDD would be my choice, if you could find one.

If you can't/want use the original hardware: Find out the specifications for the chip you want your song sound like (i.e.: maximal number of channels, waveforms available, bit depth). Then try to stay within these limitations with the electronic sound generators/sample-based tracker you have.
For example: If you want to create an amiga tracker tune, use four/eight sounds at once (max.) with 8/4 bit resolution.

Nobody said anybody wanted to do that. RBR

Thanks for your support and your "support". hmm You really think I'd use a "MIDI2Chiptune" converter? :C

A link to a "how to read guitar tabs" page would be muc apreciated. smile

Thank you for you're ideas. By ear - as I can't play guitar, that won't work, unfortunately. Automatic midi I could try - but still hoping for a faster solution.

Could somebody provide me a midi file - or better: the note sheet - for this song? Can't read guitar tabs, so this would be my way to a chip remake. Thank you.

This album is the final part of the "Neighbourhood" trilogy, filled with retromantic electro pop melodies, inspired by and utilizing the sound of 8bit and 16bit homecomputers and gaming consoles, as well as state-of-the-art synths and hand-picked samples.
