Thanks man. Id love to find a replacement bulb or bulbs for that matter. Im betting theres a huge stash of them just sitting somewhere. The start has about 10 lights on it of various colors, yellow, green, red and i think a few blues. If i find a source and depending on price I habe intentions of buying him a giant bag of them so if a bulb breaks in the future he will have no problem replacing it and maybe his future children grandchildren and so on will have bulbs and not have to go through this in the future where Im sure theyll be even harder to find.

Hey guys,
My roommate has this christmas star his mother gave him before she died as its been in the family for ages. His cat basiclly mauled the xmas tree and knocked the star off and broke one of the bulbs.
I know this is an odd discussion on here, its more of a favor if anyone knows about xmas lights as can point me where to go to get a replacement of this type. It looks to be an 80s style bulb. Its definitely not a new age bulb. Theres no serials or company name or anything.
Heres the pic. Any info would be awesome!
And yes I have Googled for them with no luck. But not knowing much about these lights my results may not be as good as someone elses. Please hold off on the trolling of not using google.

Much color lol. I just think orange with green and blue would look badass. It would go together very well in my opinion. That pink would be just as amazing though. repost when you get it all finished up. Love to see it

It is very very sexy! Only thing id change if it were
Mine would be the SS and screen. I hate that grey color. Id go with black or orange. I think orange thrown in the mix would look very cool.

Hey guys I figured Id go ahead and see if anyone here is wanting a Cloth Boy. Ive been taking private orders for these things for around 2-3 months now. Working on a very big order at the moment but I feel I can take on a few more small orders.
Heres a few examples of what a cloth boy is:
Work in Progress Cloth boy:
Where it all began:
The Domo Boy was just something I did awhile back because I thought it would be cool to have a Domo that played games lol. It was just a fun thing to do. Youll notice the Start Select buttons arent very visible. This is no longer an issue in the Cloth Boys I do now. I have proper cutting tools thats I did not have during the Domo case days.
I now have 4 cases Im willing to Cloth in any color/colors you would like, as long as I can find the colors. Contact me if interested and tell me the colors and I will get back with you on whether I have or can obtain the color/colors you have chosen. Theres also patterns and designs such as black and white checkered and a few animal prints. Just let me know what youd like me to look for.
Now for pricing.
If you want one of my cases, meaning I Cloth one of my cases and send it to you the pricing is 40$. This is the price I, and the other people that will be selling my designs, have settled on. Note: This is only a case not a full working DMG.
I will also be taking orders for your cases. If you send me a case it will be only 20$ to have it clothed.
I will ask for you to disadsemble your case prior to sending it because having to disassemble them myself is just a hassle and I have tons going on and do not want to be responsible for for your gameboys innards. And frankly I dont have the space to store peoples PCBs safely.
These prices do not include shipping. Depending on where youre from and how many cases youre wanting shipping will be around 5-15$. This will discussed individually in private.
Also I am currently not take any Trade offers, No republic credits, only moneys.
To review if you dotn like reading a lot.
I provide case: 40$ USD
You provide case: 20$ USD
-Does not include shipping.
PM me here or email me at [email protected]
Edit: I am up for taking on special designs that have a little more personal ummph to them but those prices will be discussed in private. Ive had a few people request some odd, yet cool, requests that dont exactly fit in this. I cannot lay pricing out for these here because it all depends on what youre wanting and material costs vary. So far it hasnt been more than a 5-10$ difference.
Also I apologize for any poor spelling or missing of letters. I am using a phone to post most of the time and i have fat fingers.

Re: gbc spray paint advice (15 replies, posted in Nintendo Handhelds)
Id say no more than 3 for red and maybe 2 coats using blue. Its got to be a paint meant for metal if you want it to be see through. Also keep in mind the darker the color the fewer coats you want to use.
Side note: A lot of people think krylon xmetals is the only brand that lets you spray and keep a clear look or if youre doing a grey dmg itll let the lettering sahow through. This is not the case however, there are other brands that still allow for a clear look you just have to find them. Krylon Xmetals is just more available I think. But any spray paint meant for Metal will work.
If you arent worried about see through, id suggest any paint meant for plastics, especially the ones that bond to plastic. In all honesty though if you tape the case off right and paint on the inside it wont really matter what type of paint you use. Because your hands will never touch it. Ive been thinking about doing a black one myself sometime soon.
As for colors that dont really show the purple tint..any bright neon color or deep dark color will probably do the job.
Also a few tips when you paint:
-Dont leave the battery door attached to the back. Alot of people make that mistake.
-Use silly putty to plug up the speaker holes from the out side of the case. Helps prevent any un wanted paint getting on the front of te gameboy. Try as you might Tape will not suffice for this job. If you dont have silly putty use rounded tooth picks broken off and jam them in there. But honestly go buy some silly putty it 1$ at most stores and works alot better with less work and its reusable.
-Get yourself some thin painters tape..the blue stuff. Its awesome and peels off nice and smooth. Apply it firmly around all corners and holes that may allow paint to seep through. If you arent sure all the tape will do its job 100% just stuff some silly putty in the cracks.
Aaaand thats all I can think of. Good luck man.
If it work out and you get to the point of putting custom button in and you dont like the AB being on your buttons just message me and ill send you some pics on how you can cut the case so uou can put gameboy pocket buttons in it like i did with my Blood Boy. Makes it look nice in my personal opinion and more custom. Very simple to do.
