Re: Riddim Contest (40 replies, posted in Collaborations)
I thought to use only sounds made from these samples.
so no synths, so soft synths, no other voices
you can olny make synth of a part of any sample from that pack

Re: Where did you get your first gameboy for music making? (53 replies, posted in Nintendo Handhelds)
I got mine from a friend, 6 years ago maybee.
some guy lend it to him, so still it's not mine actually :-).
Grey DMG1.
It's not light grey, it's more yellow coloured, because it layed somewhere on a sun for a longer time (maybee in a window in a junk shop).
I didn't have a Gameboy, when I was a child.
Not many people here had one between 1989 and 1994or5 ...
but I wanted it a lot...
I tracked my first song on an emulator (remix of my own band's song),
then I bought Transferer II & Card from Rob Webb and started a proper work.

Re: Riddim Contest (40 replies, posted in Collaborations)
I don't know ...
e.g. MJ - Billie Jean riddim (rythm? beat? riff?) - ( i think it's long about 2 seconds - 4 bars // 4 seconds - 8 bars with strings // )
I think this is the best length, maybee longer ...
There's no limit.
Just if you want to do these short loops, please, duplicate it to 1 longer track
(you know, it's nonsense to open one short file in your player again and again ...)

maybee contest in not the best word...

i think there is a lot of space to change any sample to good chord in good tracker / audio composing program
about bass samples:
I know my basses aren't the best... so, what do you have?
but I think Casio SK toms are pure pulse waves, so you can make good TBish basses easily from them.
