I'm in the market for an amp to drive my 8 ohm 150 watt rms floor speakers.  I've narrowed down my options, but I have a few qualms

Denon 1513 ($130 refurb)

Yamaha RS201 ($150 new)

Sherwood RX 4109 ($130 new)

The Denon seems like a clear front runner here.  I only have 2 speakers, will the Denon actually provide around 165 watts per channel if that's all I'm using?  I don't plan to drive them that hard, but I understand that real world performance is bound to be lower than projected numbers.

Does anyone have any experience with any of these?  I can find an amount of information about the Sherwood and Yamaha, but very little on this specific Denon outside the realm of the full 5.1 in a box set up.

I really just want to get about 100 watts per channel with no hissing from the signal or buzzing from the amp (so I can leave it on most of the time).  I plan to use the setup for listening/consuming media and mixing audio (specifically from my acapella choir).

I was also considering the Sony STR-DH130, but these other choices seem like safer bets.  I realistically only need one 3.5mm input as far as my source is concerned (PC), but I wouldn't complain about HDMI in addition to it.  A second 3.5mm is appreciated for my other various devices.

Am I just overthinking this and totally crazy for not buying the Denon on the spot?

PS: Shipping is $20 on the Denon, so it's more like $150.  Denon's refurbs have a one-year warranty.

Interested in any trades?  I've been dying to own a gp2x.  I'm in the Boston area.

Well, I just listed it on Swappa.  It will remain here (at a discount) until it gets sold there.

Bump.  I'd really love to sell that iPad 3.

Yes, in theory.  I just want one that is moderately powerful (for occasionally rocking out or watching a movie) and has a THD rating below 0.1%.

Even a quick breeze through Amazon is loaded with complaints about build quality and how most Pyle amps do not deliver even close to their specified wattage.

I have heard nothing but terrible things about Pyles.

I'm looking to pick up a decent amplifier for the set of 150 watt RMS floor speakers I was gifted.  I'd like to not spend more than $100.  I can offer trades from my thread also.

Has anyone successfully run ATII on their iOS device?  I know DOSPad is a thing (and it supports CoreMIDI), but I'm curious as to how effectively it actually runs.  Obviously an external keyboard is necessary, but is it usable?

Like always, a big "fuck you" to android users

The simple fact is Android has a lot of latency.  The way it handles audio causes far too much latency for music apps to function, so you will always miss the best music apps simply by owning an Android device.  While latency doesn't really matter to a tracker, there is next to no incentive to put music apps on the Play store.  The market is already less robust, you are immediately limited by the lack of things like AudioBus, and piracy is rampant.  If you want decent music apps get yourself an iPad or computer.

How's the interface?  I'm always wary of buying these apps and having an unusable ui.

Things I will trade for: fully built Sammich SID, iPad Mini w/ Retina 64GB or 128GB, a nice amplifier to drive my 150 watt RMS floor speakers.  I'll entertain other offers as well.  If you have any questions about anything feel free to ask.  Prices are negotiable.

Would it be possible to get 2 DMG v5s and 1 Pocket?  Also, could we order the v5 and then wait for the regular LCD to be back in stock instead of having to change the film?

Bump, for great justice.

Bump for iPad.  Would love to sell this one and upgrade to a Mini.

UA-20.  I am pretty confident it will work, but I'm going to need to upgrade it eventually.  I'd like the 4 mic inputs for recording the a Capella choir I'm directing.  I was also having a lot of issues with signal noise.

The Akai EIE might be nice too.  It's a little cheaper, but still has 4 XLR.
