United is absolutely horrendous for electronic music. Please trust this advice.

Furthermore, a test press usually costs $5-$10, it might be easier to contact the label for a test directly. We usually send them out with orders at random!

i got all my vinyl pressed via united - no hassles, good quality. the only thing that sounds a little off is some of the noise crash sounds, but it's noise channel and it sounds more glitched than intended, so no complaints there.

It happened. We may as well try and make the best of it instead of freaking out.

well, whoever was in charge of this comp should really step up and demand the plates and just press their own record. the plates are really what costs money in all of this for the most part, the actual pressing of vinyl is cheap. i don't think that's "freaking out" that's demanding what you have the rights to.

it's not about hating. it's about feeling strongly enough about what you put out to put your wallet behind it, and HOPE to make at least 1% of it back.

cool, you get a free record. meanwhile, this dude STILL has the legal rights to the plates for the pressing plant of this vinyl and can press more records at very little cost when his heart desires. even f this record doesnt sell, the bad intententions were still there. i don't know where you are located, but come to NJ and put on any major radio staion, and all you hear is square waves being pushed left and right with shitty lyrics backing it. surely, someone thought this was a good idea to push some slow reggae style jams onto dj's and make a few (key word, few) bucks off it. there's no denying that.

there are plenty of people that have struggled to make their own records and press and try to promote music that honestly nobody really gives a shit about, but they do it anyway, because it's THEIR dream.  i'm glad that you assholes are comfortable enough to hand over your music to anyone. even if it's not for a profit, this shit is YOURS. YOU MADE IT. believe in it, love it, back it, etc.

i'm too drunk to type more, but holy hell man, if you made a catch phrase or some shit, and some other asshole started saying it on tv under the name "dipshit" but still gave you the videotaped episode of the show, would you still be cool with it?

he meant press your own record, put your hard earned cash, sweat, tears, blood etc into pressing your own music and selling it yourself, rather than be totally cool with someone blatantly using your music without permission trying to make a quick buck off the "squarewave craze" just because they offer you a free copy to the artists.

i couldn't agree with him more.  even after the fact that i still have close to 400 7"es in my closet from 2009 that i'm still trying to sell.
