Aw man, I missed this.

i listen to it over and over until i get sick of it forever then listen to it again like 6 months later and decide whether or not i actually like it :v

I like it with the laidback drums. I can't really say much else about it that hasn't already been said, but it really is great for a first track.

Would such dilution ruin the genre? Or would you welcome the influx of new content?

If chiptune were to burst forth onto the mainstream I think it would ruin a lot of things. For one, hardware would become more expensive and harder to find. Then, if everyone and their mom is pulling from the same limited sound palettes, at some point all the songs are going to start sounding the same. Yes, some amazing things would happen, but then there'd also be a lot more crap to sift through to find the good stuff.

Oh hey it changed.

Oh my

I dunno, I don't get sad anymore when I see it because I see it everyday.

This sounds cool. Although, I'm not sure if I'd actually use it that much, since one of the things I hated about using Sibelius was how long it took to input notes compared to a tracker, especially without a MIDI keyboard or anything.

I'd still try it out, though.

I'm trying to try it out, but it's not letting me add any .mods to the playlist for some reason.

Yes yes yes, definitely.

J. Arthur Keenes is an obvious choice. Uhhhh, Roboctopus's done a few tracks of chip+guitar, they're probably on his Soundcloud.

I like that.

I think that overall this song could benefit from a little variation in the harmony and bass. That wav+pu1 combo sure is nice, but something else besides that would be even better.

As for improving your technical skills, Roboctopus's LSDJ & You column is nice for learning some tips and tricks. For doing more with the wave channel, I suggest reading episodes 2, 4, 5, 6, and maybe 7.

I'd be up for it, but I'm not sure if I can consistently attend/play beyond summer because this year in school's gonna be really tough for me.
