Unfortunately you can use this piggyback to split your output signal, but not to combine your input signals. It would theoretically work if you could keep the impedance ratings exactly the same all the time, which you can't, even if you prosounded the pocket.

In order to combine the signals you'll need some kind of mixer - ideally active but something passive could work.

thanks

I bought this and first thing that crossed my mind was that i can hook up my DMG & my GBP to my mini kaoss pad, so when i got this i hooked everything up and the GBP sounds great ( noise level and all ) then i played the DMG and the levels on the volume are too low to even hear barely. So i figured id make some changes on my mixer like instead of using a 1/8 for the output of the kaos pad i hooked it straight to the  cd/tape. ( mixer= xenyx802 ) it made it a tad louder but i cant think of anything todo to make it so both DMG and GBP are the same level.

Piggyback cable is hooked to DMG
Regular RCA is to GBP

Damn i already got rid of it if i woulda saw this a bit sooner i would have done it....lol

anythings on the table even things you might have made ( circuit bent/all that fun stuff )

Im not quiet sure what i want for this, one thing i wouldnt mind is a copy of Nanoloop 1.5
or something that will catch my eye, basically bought it with out really looking into it because i wanted to run piggy tracker ( I know dumb on my behalf for not looking up stuff hmm ) oh well live and learn, figure id see if anyone that could make good use of this would want it or know of any modifications or random things i could do to it.

thanks

it does in the bottom one (as well as my version of it, which is yellow with a different name, but same guts it seems)

i ran a test on the sound of the yellow knock-off i've got, the results are posted in the thread which discusses the fake gameboy...  the wav channel was funky, everything else passed though...  (you can hear this in track playback on the machine, the wav playback is just wrong...)

not sure if they work in the top one.  there were several of this type released, the GB Boy being one.  i *think* they are all compatible, but i'll need to check...  i can remember testing it, but the memory isn't real enough so is probably fake in my mind... (happens)

glad to know others geek out on this stuff too!

Hell yea, when i found the pic of the GB Boy i was like "ok thats two "knock offs" i found. Time to start looking for em."
hahaha

Good info to know, thanks Kitsch smile
