Just like you read it, I'm looking for a Commodore 64 in good shape. Getting tired of nothing showing up at thrift stores, criagslist, or just getting out bid on ebay. If you have one with Cynthcart or MSSIAH even better. I'm hoping to trade some stuff for it possibly, got lots of stuff just hangin around taking up space. Stuffs include 6 DMGs with lines on the screens, a couple Backlit Pockets, some painted DMG cases, random gameboy accessories like battery packs, link cables and PIL case. If you're interested in something I have just let me know and I can send you pics. If you're wanting more then just the trade we can discuss it further. I just really wanted to keep any cash for it under $75.

Edit: So I actually snagged a C64 for a decent price, however, it doesn't come with a power cord so I'm now looking for one of those. I'll also be wanting Cynthcart and/or MSSIAH so if you're looking to get rid of them just PM me with price or trade you're interested in.

Your commentary makes up for the video quality! Instant classic.

I'm just curious if you still have these C64s and if you'd be down for a trade of something? If not then how much you'd sell them for?

Quick question about keyboard modding, do the keyboards all have to have the PS/2 connection or would a USB one work? Just curious since I got a USB keyboard laying around and when I opened it up the circuit board had a layout of  V,G, D+,D- and the 5th wire was unlabeled. I also have a DMG-07 to use for this mod as well just for the heads up.

It has to be PS/2. USB doesn't use the same communication protocol as PS/2 and the DMG do.

Thanks DogTag, couldn't seem to find the answer anywhere else for some reason. Might have just skimmed over it maybe.

I know he's pretty good about putting his music on his website for free actually. I know all of his albums are there and a few remixes (if I remember correctly).

I know he's a member but I've never seen him say anything here before.

I'll have to admit, this is also a really good one.

Another good one by LukHash. Just showing love for this guy, enjoy.

From what I've gathered reading on other builds you can also use smaller gauge wire to help with that issue. I know a few things about electronics but I've never made something like this before nor do I remember the mechanics behind why it would work. If all else fails it's always worth a shot though.

Thretris had a good post about this as well.

and then there was this one.

Whoops, that was my bad. Here's a pic of 2 GBC PCBs. It's damn near the same thing as the DMG only you have to watch out for the smaller resistors on these boards.

If you notice on the PCB to the right the LED is lined out in white. Right next to the C9 tag (I know it's upside down in this pic).

Here's an image of a Gameboy I did for a friend where I switched out the LED with an orange one to match the backlight.

This is actually quite easy. Easy enough that it doesn't really need a tutorial but I can give you a quick run down.

On both the front and back of the board you'll notice the LED diagram to show you the direction you need the LED to be facing. All you have to do is desolder the back side, slide the old LED out, place the new one in, and reapply some solder. BAM, you're done. If the LED doesn't come on when you power up the Gameboy make sure it isn't in backwards since it won't work. If its in backwards just flip it around and you should be good. Hope this helps a bit.

I just think a lot of people would really like this album. It really blew my mind from beginning to end.

I have 6 grey DMGs that I have laying around if you're still looking. Only 1 battery back between them all.
