Thanks for the info, will give that a try some time!

Interesting thread, I've been getting interesting glitchy databending results by copy and pasting PCM data from other roms into nitro2k01's amen chopper, might try some of these smile

These are great!!

So glad I got to see a few great shows by him back in the day and very sad he stopped making music sad Really nice guy, hope he's doing ok.

People who like him and Lightning Bolt should look out for a currently active UK/London band SHITWIFE: drums + electronics duo from the guy behind the breakcore act Ladyscraper, they play Bolt style on the floor thru immense amps, with synths triggered/sync'd from the drums Duracell style. Highly recommended!!

Cool, hope he will, I'm sure a lot of people here would find it useful smile

Ha this is great ^__^ Yeah a more tweakable one would be nice...

Your link seems broken by the way... http://acedio.github.io/animalese.js and https://github.com/Acedio/animalese.js

Is there any chance of a mailing list for news of when the next batch is out? (or preorders even?!) Don't want to miss it again!

Bleep
Game Boy Dev Compo Version
(prerelease / alpha)
by Andrew G. Crowell

Bleep is a music creation program with piano roll interface.

It lets you jam out chip music really quickly, and it writes directly into save
memory, so your work is saved automatically. This is not the final version, but
I was reminded the Game Boy dev compo was going on, so I'd enter.

This is just a prerelease, the final will include source code, and add many
missing features to the editor.

I'm in London, as is d0us with whom I've organised a couple of chipnoise gigs in the past as HATEBIT, maybe more some day.

Also I'm part of the promotion/label/collective Transient Constellations (more noise/experimental than chip stuff tho usually and not really doing gigs at the moment) -http://transientconstellations.bandcamp.com/

Also there's http://8bitvomit.tumblr.com/ organising and involved in various things, chiptune/electro/noisy club nights in London and Berlin

^cute mixer!

I'm getting back into DS, finally bought a second hand one that straight up actually works rather than the half-broken ones i've already got big_smile and managed to find the original DS-10 cheap on ebay. So far seems ideal for my noise purposes, the combination of lo-fi/chip and pseudo analog sound is perfect for Cementimental. ^__^

Fun times ^__^ shame I had to miss a lot of it tho. :-S

Here's a recording of our set:
