Two bits of news of RCR news to post:

1) The Retro City Rampage CD is now available.  The details are in this Destructoid article.

2) If you're interested in learning how the sound effects for Retro City Rampage were done, I've written an article on it for CreatingSound.com.  Have a look if you're interested in making some NES-style sound effects.  I've released the impulse tracker source for two of the sound effects for those that are interested.  I'm hoping it will help people see how tricky it is to do chiptune sound effects in a tracker smile

Just a note that if you're looking for the Retro City Rampage coloured vinyl that Kitsch's table at BrkFest and Vancouver record stores are the only places to get the last few remaining copies.  More details earlier in the thread.

so, kitsch-bent is going to have a table at blipfest NYC..

Thanks to the success of selling Retro City Rampage vinyl at kitsch-bent's table during BlipFest, there'll be a few coloured vinyls and several black vinyls available for direct purchase from Kitsch's table at the kitsch-bent table at BrkFest 2012 too smile

The $39.99 colour vinyl is only available by direct purchase and is sold out for online purchase.  There are very few of the blue and green vinyl available.  The details of the $29.99 black vinyl.

There'll be a limited quantity of free Retro City Rampage stickers available as well if you're just into free stuff!

Of course - seller's dibs! wink I'm looking forward to having a look at all the fun stuff you've got for sale.  Thanks a ton for helping me out with the details of having the vinyl on your table!

Thanks to kitch-bent's offer & working out some details on economics and whatnot, I'm pleased to say that we'll be able to sell a very limited number of the sold out online green & blue vinyl plus the classic black vinyl at the kitsch-bent table smile

Green and blue are $39.99 and black is $29.99 as if you were buying them at a record store here in Canada.  We'll have other Retro City Rampage goodies there too.

Message me soon if you're interested as there's very few of the green and blue left and may sell out !

Retro City Rampage vinyl on sale $29.99 (35% off) and digital $3.99 (50% off)

As a side note, we're also currently running a sale on the black vinyl ($29.99) and soundtrack MP3s ($3.99) for a limited time.

In honour of BipFest2012 I'll be finding out what remains of the extra stock local store coloured copies and have them for sale at the original price of $39.99 as though you were buying them at a record store here in Canada.  Depending on interest we'll be figuring out the best way to sell these but make sure to come by the table if you're at all interested as we'll have other Retro City Rampage goodies there too.

Looking forward to seeing people at BlipFest!

I'll be there from May 24-30 w/ a 3-day pass.  I'm one of the guys from Retro City Rampage.  Had a fun show in SF for "POW" at the DNA Lounge in March so my 30min set plus new material is good to go.

I'd love to play some funky NES-style songs at any parties & will bring equipment to play smile
