my lsdj seems to have a problem staying in beat especially at higher tempos but it's noticable here;

unless he changed around the cases, no they aren't. they are the 32M Smart Cards (the model prior to the 64M USB model), just judging by the case (and the LSDJ version, which was the stable version around the time when 32M carts were last the main carts people used)
